206 shop hours and $44,000 in parts.

Doing an early truck with disc brakes, 4 speed and 2F is a big job. Super glad to have been able to pull this one off.

The little sister is waiting in the wings …. Stay tuned

It was great to get to see @Sweet Water and the 45. It looks great. That was the day before @Ocho77 's party Cruise Michigan, at his place. I couldn't go Saturday so we rolled coal up there friday in Chunk to see the early birds.

My shop model came out to admire the large nuts on this bumper and help me lift the heavy mofo on the lift table.

The lift table is also very helpful when drilling up into the frame

And how about that? This is really such a masterpiece of a bumper. This is what happens when a master CAD designer/fabricator/machine shop owner gets you. Beauty and brawn.

So wish @OPMACHINE was still making these amazing rear FJ45 bumpers! I need one so I can look as good as @wngrog 's builds here.

Nuts ….I was hoping to place an order for a rear one for my red 45..that’s almost complete. Maybe just one more……🤞
Peer pressure is the key here.

Come on Jack!

They really are a piece of art on the back of a 45.

From the owner

Last drive before putting it away for winter. Had a ball driving it over the summer. You did. a wonderful job. Goal next summer is to drive it to the UP and do some two tracking on logging roads. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Got the center arm rebuilt. That was a little more fun than I was expecting but it’s tight as new now. View attachment 3248542View attachment 3248541

I had the rear axle bearings in the freezer so they tapped in nice and easy.

Gas can mount arrived and got installed.

Tracking has the pallet on truck for delivery but my dock closes at 5.

Tomorrow am at dawn I head to get the motor. Im staying at Rocket City HQ and will head back with the heart of this 45 Thursday

I’ll go get this pallet myself if nothing shakes loose while I’m gone.

Oh yeah I got the tie rods all pre adjusted and ready. Also added the Koito H4s to the grill as well as some new running light housings and bulbs but reused the nicely patina ‘ed white lenses.

Well that answers a question that I've been searching for the answer... can I just bolt the center arm on? Since you've done it, I'm sure it's OK. Thanks for the (unintended) info!

Not sure what you have but the center arm just gets a bolt. Nothing special

I mean mounting the center arm to the frame. Mine was barely held on by 1 rivet. So instead of new rivets, gonna bolt it on.

Oh yes. Thats not an issue. The later ones were all bolts
