love it!

Should have kept my one owner 64 original paint rust free 45lv I bought in 94 for $900!!! Nice rig, but the classic car market is so overinflated, values are what they are, someone might pay 25k? I guess I just miss the old days when you could go buy an old 4x4 for reasonable money. Glws, glad I have several old cruisers, if the market stays this way, guess its money in the bank....

@kunzma LV tail lights are unique. Other things noticed: rear wheel lips cut off, the driver side rear tail light opening is cut out (compare to the pass side which is correct), no tailgate emblems or even holes, no hood spear, wiper arms, or mirrors. Not trying to be too critical because these trucks are very rare. There are also plenty of rare items such as the back seat assembly and other items. It's a cool truck that is worthy of saving but there is plenty of work to be done.

The LV did share the tail lights and a couple other pieces with the Toyopet line. Not sure this really helps because I know even less about that line of vehicles. I don't think they ever came to the US. But the rear light tailgate latch and maybe tailgate hinges are the same as the Toyopet Masterline Van.

Overinflation is only part of it. A new good 4x4 will set you back at least $50K. I think I bought my first Jeep in 1995 for around $12K brand new from the dealership.

the upper lift gate(or the 45LV) must have lived in WA state at one time, Olympic Off Road was in Tacoma, its been closed at least 10 years.

I enjoy the crap out of my 64 45LV, glad I bought it when I did(2005-ish)

Does anyone know if the tail light fixtures are common with any other Toyotas? Looking at this truck it looks to be missing items that might be hard to find.
Re pops if the tail light covers are still available from a vendor in Australia. There were two different styles of the tail lights (Only one style in the re pops) they were not a major style change and both were interchangeable.

someone 15-ish years ago made repops from my 45lv cats eyes(the type on the Toyopet wagon above), I can't remember who, but I have a set someplace, they came out great. my 1964 45lv has the non cat eye style.

maybe Foxfab? he did the lpb lenses, I think

SOR actually has the non-cateye lenses. But the lights themselves would be pretty impossible to find. They probably got them from the outfit in Australia @mmcinnis mentioned. I bought a spare set from them a little while back, can’t seem to recall or find their website though.

Honestly, I think that is a really good body.

If the front floor pans are good, bottom of doors are good and the sills/rockers are good then that thing is in great shape. Sure the rear is a bit crumpled but that is probably one of the easiest areas to fix.

The bodies on LV’s are really complex. If rotten, you will be in it tens of thousands of dollars custom making panels and pieces.

Cheers
