Without a doubt the worst riding vehicle I’ve ever started in on. I think I drove it less than 5
Miles before I tore it apart

With tunnel bolted down, we could put the tank in for the last time. The only reason the seats aren’t in now is for working room.

We ditched the pedal that that showed up with the truck and swapped it for a late 60’s (?) cable pedal. We used another 40 at the shop for pedal placement, then made it permanent:

A few more tweaks to line up the cable and the pedal side will be done:

Grill, bumper and, most importantly, the Warren Wench!

The doors are still in the back of the truck, and it still needs seats and gas, but this is how it’s going to sit. All the weight is back on.

Looks great:

One of the few things left to mount under the hood was the 1FZ coil & ignitor. Tank sent the originals, which we used to harvest the bracket and part numbers for the new coil & ignitor:

The perfect spot presented itself by the horn…

This worked out well. I flipped the ignitor around so the wires & connectors are aimed in the right direction and able to run down and out of the way. We should be able to clean them up nicely

Nailed the bezel!

Where did you source that bumper? That seems to be the perfect width - a bit wider than the HFS version from CCOT, but a bit narrower than stock.
4 Plus products because everything that @lcwizard makes is legit

Well crap. We totally missed the opportunity to flip the bezel :D

what was so offensive, the speed or handling. do you have a trans. tunnel for a 3 speed column shift?

Where do I start?

The engine had about 65 available hp. The springs were gone. Flat. No bushings. The 15” tires on the split rims were 12 ply with 75 psi in them.

Did you see the seats before? They were like sitting on a basketball bleacher.

The brakes worked pretty good on the front right. You just had to make sure you took the 1/2 wheel worth it steering slack out of it before you hit the brakes.

Column shift stuff is was long ago passed to someone that needed it.

We’ve got a ton of tiny things going in all over the place behind the scenes.

The easiest:

We finally found a clean solution for capping off the vent line in the fuel pump module. Typical rubber vacuum caps degrade in short order from the gasoline fumes. A piece of fuel hose with a bolt clamped in works great, but aren’t the prettiest solution.

Enter these Buna-N vacuum caps. Buna-N has excellent petroleum fuel/oil resistance, so these should hold up to the fumes.
