OEM, except add the split windshield. Do it, do it, do it!

Save the original windshield, maybe even paint it to match the new truck color for a future owner. It will be plug and play.

Split window was installed back in VA before I drug her out here. I’m just waiting on you to get one so we can compare notes. Due to a lack of defroster hole(s) on the later model split windows I won’t be driving it much in the winter in CO. They also use sodium chloride brine to pretreat the roads which is a hard NO. Although I do have a clamshell heater for it since I was never able to find a front cover for the Eaton heater that it came with.

Several years ago I purchased the window gaskets for the split windows from @andybudge.

Yes steering wheel police….yes I know the steering wheel is upside down. 😏 The cab was packed full of parts when I brought it out here. At the time that was the only way to install the steering wheel without unloading everything. But I needed to be able to steer it off the trailer.

Perfect application for a split window! Being a fixed top, it will allow some airflow!! Now a double split window!!

it's a double double

I’m hopeful the flow from the front windows thru the cab and out the back is enough? Time will tell…

Todays project get the engine out of the bed of the truck and truck spun around and maybe just maybe set the engine in the frame rails. 🤞🏻

I have a love/hate relationship with governmental and institutional budgets. Love when I get something for a smoking deal (engine lift) thanks CU Boulder! But I find it absolutely ridiculous and wasteful to replace things before you normally would due to not using all your budget and then not being allocated it the following year.

Wait a minute! That reverse steering wheel mount might be the way to get a little more room in my SWB FT 🤷‍♂️.

😂🤪

I took sometime yesterday to finally organize the 45 parts lot I purchased a couple years ago. I also got the 💩45 spun around using the Outback as a tow vehicle. Just a VA import trying to raise the white trash element in my CO neighborhood. I’m sure the neighbors out here love me too…🙄

The old V-8 engine mounts are now mostly cut off. Now I’m in the process of stabbing the transmission. I bent the front bezel down to hopefully help ease the installation process.

I recently scored a complete set of hinges for the early 40 FST tailgate that I had picked up previously and got them installed. It’ll either be saved for another 40 project I have or it’ll go into the purge bin once I’ve got both 45’s on the road. As I don’t want to horde parts unnecessarily when they could go on someone else’s truck and get it back on the road! We’ll see…
I needed to see some sort of progress and decided to press the easy button and get some instant gratification so I installed the Vader light and switch.

Any of you guys have a preference on the running the Warn Barrel hubs or the Sears hubs? I have both available. Just curious if the Warn hubs are worth the effort swapping them out?

Looks like I need a throw out bearing for the 3 speed transmission. Anyone recommend a source?

Spring time push! That will be a nice benchmark to get that motor sitting in the chassis.

That hoist looks like it needs its own motor! Only 7 ton? Hawse!

Also… this morning I grabbed a sixer and a separate single like my old man taught me but the parking lot eye candy options were kinda meh :grinpimp:

I hope to have the engine in by the end of summer. Unfortunately, I just started CFI phase of flight training so progress just got severely delayed.

I really wanted it for the bumper lift. It’s the poor man’s 2 post.

Nice! I’m sure the Yoder family appreciates the support! I really appreciate you stopping by! Now…what did you actually think of the donut?

Hmm. Wonder if related to Yoder construction?

They were a big hit for the contractor crew I met with. Glad I got that extra one. Both the fried and cake donuts were on the drier side but still tasty. Ill admit I prefer yours ;)

Had really wanted the old fashion/sour cream donut or chocolate with coconut but those went first. Had the maple glazed with bacon and stopped on the way home for a blueberry cake w/ icing. Both glazes were excellent. Good to see two other patrons in the store at both 8:30 and 2:30.
