Hi,

Is there somebody interested in the tub of the following vehicle:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963...8?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2a2b26e57e#v4-41

I'm thinking of buying this rig because of it's softdoors, softtopbows and maybe some small parts :hhmm:
But because I live in The Netherlands it is to expensive to get the whole car shipped only for some parts.

(the shipping of my 67 Fj40, from Maine to The Netherlands has cost me around 1700 euro -> +/- 2300 Dollar!)

If you are interested in the tub, chassis and axles.

Please let me know, so we can look if we can work things out.

Kind regards,

Simon

I have the impression that my Pm-box isn't working as it should be.
So if you get the idea that I didn't received your message, don't hesitate e-mail me.

Will do

I wonder if somebody can tell me what an reasonable price is for only the original softtop doors and softtopbows.:hhmm:

Gr

I bought a full set of bows and doors that were cut to half doors. All clean rust free with one small kink in the back bow which I straightened our. I paid $400 which is at the top end of what I would be willing to pay. For later bows and doors I have bought I have paid much less.

Not that I disagree with what they "should" be selling for. But the bows are fetching $7-800 easily in the classifieds right now.

AGREED ^

these items are no longer readily available for the early vehicles. there have been some owners that have been looking for 3yrs without luck

re-manufactured editions (for later models) of the bows are selling for $650, OEM doors (for later models also) can be had for $300-$400 complete

it is extremely unlikely for you to obtain even just a bow set for $400. such optimism for said parts only comes when you no longer need them:lol:

PM sent on a possible early remanufactured bow set

I went to 2650 and got sniped, but i need another rig like a hole in my head, so i was ok with it, never going to find a rust free fst like that with doors and bows! Not sure who got it ?

lol, and you are talking to Rat about that one he found as well. You sir have a problem ;)

By no means :)

Sorry 'bout that! Actually, I'm not sorry at all. :flipoff2:

Working out shipping details now. This baby's gonna enjoy retirement on the east coast.

The :princess: doesn't know yet. I'm gonna have to sell one or two of the other projects to make room for it. Maybe she won't be able to tell. ;)

you son of a

lucky bastard, at the final moment when I wanted to place my bid.
My internet browser did not react/frozen :bang:

Not sure how you figured I didn't need a set of early bows. Been looking for a set for the 62 FJ40 soft top tub I bought years ago. But like most I'm not willing to pay any amount to get a set. While there are some who have been looking for a set for years doesn't mean the have a $1,000 to spend on them. Not many have unlimited funds to spend on a hobby vehicle.

lol,
You just sentenced probably the only rust free 62 FST to rust to death ;)

Not to worry I have the rust free 62 tub I bought from Georg back in 08 and it is staying in AZ. Sean has a rust free 62 also in AZ. Then there is Little Orphan Annie so we should be okay. Probably more I'm forgetting.

Fret not, my west coast friends. She'll be in good hands. I have another '62 here to complete the missing pieces. A full resto will begin as soon as she arrives. There is no rain or snow in her future.
