Anybody know off the top of their head the difference in axle widths between the 80 & 100 series?

Can't find any documentation to back this up right now, but I was thinking the WMS-WMS widths were the same...~63".

Scratch that...survey says 100 series rear axle is about 6" wider...~69" WMS.

So SAS'ing/FF'ing one is more than just tossing 80 axles underneath... durn.

Crap that's cheap. @AndyO78FJ40

Thanks for tagging me. That is real clean... I do worry about pre-Katrina cars coming out of New Orleans. I will add it to my queue of look at and call.

I'm talking to a guy about a black 98 with a rear locker, but it is due a timing belt? @wct49 what does a timing belt and water pump set you back at 49 Cruisers. I guess it is low use and I could roll the dice but the thought of engine failure is a bit scary.

I can't imaging why one would go to the trouble.

I'd rather have an 80 with a V8

The axle is wider because the truck is a whale.

@geologic is this you?

Laughing .....

Noel still has the Lousiana temp tag on his and his rear spoiler is black

The 100 is not great at anything but it's a well rounded vehicle that can be used for many things. Towing is one of those

Got the LX lifted and riding a lot better. The AHC gets a bad rap. It is really cool but took me awhile to wrap my head around it. Andy was a huge help! Thanks.

Put 30mm spacers in rear and put a Slee Diff drop. Was having brain fade and thank goodness for Rob for assist.

I will post a pic when the wife is home and not rolling around in it.

I would say it is as high or higher than 99.

I am so ready to have a roof rack. So get my awning on. I am about to cave in and buy the new crappy design Front Runner.

Here is what it will look like.

Tundra TRD PRO wheels and Michellin AT2 tires off 2014 with hubcaps and sensors balanced ready for install on 07 up Tundra, 100 and 200 series LC or LX, 7-10k miles
    $1,500

@geologic , those are NOT TRD Pro wheels. What you have are Toyota #75157 Tundra Wheels. Similar, but obviously not the same.

This is what the TRD pro wheel looks like:

In 2014 these came as part of the TRD PRO package, I just sold my 2016 TRD PRO Quicksand truck that was a whole different animal, but the comment right after you is correct, the only difference in the 2015 and 2016 is that the machined face is black as well!!!

Correct on machining but not Pro wheels. Price difference is about 40 to 50%.

Also GST will slap a Pro sticker on any Tundra. Can't trust anything out of them. 90% of the wheel you see on lots now are not OEM Toyota wheels they are Ultra.

Like difference between OE wheels and 40th. Just paint but 40th are premiums.

The market is what it is.
