Hot damn, they make a 200 series rack for $825....:hmm:

Andrew if you get to talking to them ask them how many of the horizontal crossbars come with the rack for that $825 price. Have seen lots of pics where there are only 3-4 crossbars, which is half what you need.

Also their LED bar solution (recessed in the wind fairing) is CLEAN...I dig it.

The ones that attach to the cross members, yes. The ones designed to attach to the side of the rack won't work...at least I don't see how it could work.

Def considering one of these for the wife's 200. After tires. Maybe @MScruiser will demo one out for me.

I've since been in contact with them. I'll ask about the cross bars, and the additional cost of extras should I want them. I did see that light bar and it does look good. Just like @Bomar , I got pretty pissed at Frontrunner after that little stunt they pulled.

Cool. Let me know what they say. I've seen a bunch of their pics that showed way too few crossbars. The 10" centers (I think that's what it is) on the FR is perfect.

Prinus's are also about 2/3 the cost of the FR for the models I looked at.

Damn you @FJ60Cam now I'm gonna have to build a pimp 80 with an LS and a prinsu rack to daily drive.

Sorry for the sidebar, on the 100 series side, I'd totally drive the one that started this whole discussion in post #5030

imho, the front runner is the tits. has a cult following if you will. everyhting else on the market is just a rack on a roof that you have to make things fit-stay-function....etc....

the modular design and proprietary parts to the FR may be what people hate...but at the very least, for $1100 you have a great rack and dont have to add any of the "other" ancillary items.....

to me, it just makes it all easier to 'get the most out of a roof rack'

STILL looking into wheels.....:bang:

Fuel Anza look good.

i love may of the fuel wheels, unfortunately, their offsets arent jiving with the 100 series fitment....generally they are like +10/+12 and a few +20

factory offset is +60......

wheels in size 18" are generally 9" wide....which makes them 1" wider...so the closest to a +30 offset i can get will be almost a stock fitment with the exception the added width....

i have found a couple wheels with a +25 offset....just trying to make sure i find one i want....i "like" the OEM wheels, but for the look i have and like, they dont necessarily fit the bill.....but i am warming up to them.....

Thanks for the link.

Here's the post that shows a bunch of rack pics (on the 80, but I think the overall design is the same across the models)...

Box Rocket 1995 FZJ80 Build

The crossbars are 80/20 extrusion which means that mounting options are endless and not limited to the rack manufacturer.

This is on my radar for a down the road bolt-on.

I think I have moved over to the prinsu camp. Looks like a great product. I read on the expo portal site where the 100 and 200 will share the same rack design. 100 roof rack builds?? - Page 2 - Expedition Portal

Big plus if you can still salvage a lot of the view from the sunroof.
With their big wind deflector, you may be able to actually open the sunroof a 60mph now.

Based on reading the install guide for the 4 runner, I am guessing they ship 6 cross bars.
Additional cross bars are $28 on their site.

Also, the entire rack weight is somewhere around 40lbs total
