Having used my roof rack pretty frequently now for something other than just good looks, anything other than a FR or a Prinus (uses the same track system as a FR) seems to me like adding a ton of work and hassle. You're back to ratchet straps and tie downs, rope, etc, to TIE stuff down to your rack. The FR and Prinus systems allow you to natively secure things to the rack with the track system. Mine and Nolen's were loaded down last week. Not a ratchet strap to be seen...

Just my .02c

Link for prinus?

I just need something to occasionally support me with kids and a RTT.

No light bars, espresso machines, bbq grills, step ladders and all that other stuff.
I don't even see me sporting the awning. Just too much stuff for my patience.

It just needs to be strong enough to hold me and a beer cooler when I want to stargaze in BFE.

Also want the road noise kept minimum as possible.

So I am in the $500 budget range. One rack each for piggy and 100

Damn, I know this is the 100 section, but all this talk of black wheels and roof racks and then I go to the Prinus site and see this...

I was already thinking of painting my 80 wheels black. Now I kinda want the roof rack and I'll bet the 80 model would fit mine. Thanks guys.

gamiviti expo is $450 and the plain rack is $375. Still have to add cost of towers and shipping, unless you can find someone that traverses to HIH every year:hmm:

That is a very good looking rack.

I got my tent off my rack tonight (by myself) and I hope that bitch doesnt have to go back up there. I like it on my trailer. That said, I'm damn glad I did not have my trailer last week. I was so comfortable in the 100....with the Iron Man Pro shocks nothing to worry about back there.

I love love love the looks of my aluminum ARB rack but its all ratchet straps for that thing and if I had a RTT it would be on crossbars WAY up in the sky.

try the 7"
(grogan size):grinpimp:

Wrong ones. Should be some just like the 9 inch but only smaller.

Agree the prius rack is cool. I just favor the old school bent tube more for some reason. I think the wire basket style like Stan has above is the ticket
