Can the trim be sanded and painted? Seems that if you can get it out of the truck sand it, put a little semi-gloss and some semi-gloss clear and call it good? Seems it might be easier than fighting with goo-gone and tearing out fingernails.

If anyone ever wants a different wood color or style. I can get that stuff cheap and about 100 colors/patterns.

I think I will reinstall. I liked it. I left the rears so I'll get you a picture of that see if you can match it.

Solid pieces rcvd from Labrak today! Major upgrade over those cheap arb plastic housings.

Maybe Rob can install when I drop off the truck next Monday.

View attachment 1111334 Its go time. Hopefully she will be running tomorrow.

Well she was running the next day but had a horrible top end noise. After two weeks of dealing with the company I got the heads from I finally got the go ahead to tear it down to see what was raising hell. Turns out one of the shims for the #6 exhaust valve fell out of place and was in between the valve spring and cylinder head. Got her back together a few mins ago and she is running great. I hope the wife enjoys her new ride.

How does a 2UZ valve shim "fall out of place?" Aren't those captured under the bucket under the cam?

They are and most machine shops super glue them to the bucket. This one must of been built on a Friday.

.......He will get $12-13 for it if i had to guess.
Maybe. For whatever reason, I'm sure y'all have seen that 100's are getting cheap. Not long ago, it was virtually impossible to find one for less than $10k. Now, it's not uncommon to find them under $7,500.

Like Nolen, I'm completely amazed at the "amount" of vehicle a 100 is, and for less than $10k, it may be the best overall vehicle available.
