Just placed my order for mid pipes with no cats. Anyone else have those installed yet or will I be the first?

Sent from my iPad using IH8MUD

I'm not sure who has or has not installed their midpipes yet. But I can tell you that out of all the orders that have shipped out for 100 series high flow midpipes, 3 sets have been with no cats so far.

Nick, there's room. We'll post results of the outcome in a couple months when the Christian's truck is back here for the header mockup.

Hey, just curious if you've had a chance to work on the header (with equal length runners)? I'm curious of the outcome. Still haven't gotten around to ordering headers yet....

Yes, we've been working on them. We're almost finished, just a few more days. I started a thread for the headers if you'd like to follow the progress here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/681802-100-series-performance-headers.html

@baktasht

Can you post a pic of the resonator?
Sure thing, I'll snap a couple photos of the next one we build before it gets welded into the tailpipe.

Does anyone have any concern about the tailpipe not venting the exhaust out far enough? Our out behind the wheel? I didn't think twice about it but the shop that did the install was concerned that the exhaust might circulate back into the cabin.

I have mine cut short, when it's cold out, the exhaust buildup is definitely noticeable when idling...not from inside the truck though...just when standing outside around truck...

A huge thanks to EMSPowered today for their help in ordering their Cat-back setup for my LX! I inquired about their headers also, and they said production is getting close. They reassured my that a write-up will be forthcoming for their prototype. They sound very appealing as they will be long tube headers that should incorporate midpipes. I've heard very good things about the DT headers, but I may hold out a bit longer to see what the EMS guys are cooking up!

The EMSPowered exhaust exits as 2 options:

Option1: In the stock location pointing straight back

Option2: As a turndown that is approximately 4" shorter than the stock exit and points at an angle downward and to the back

Both options exit as far back as possible.

Do you have an EMSPowered exhaust?

Mine does not get fumes in my vehicle and my exhaust (not DT or EMS) is cut off inside the area for spare and flush with bottom edge of my custom bumper. No issues.... mine is just local cat back custom bend with Magnaflow muffler I did as I crunched mine on trail and needed it fixed NOW.

I just got my catless midpipes, I thought there was somewhere to plug in both sets of O2 sensors, looks like there is only one. Or does one of the O2's plug in somewhere else like headers or cat back?

The primary O2 sensors go into the end of the header. The secondary O2 sensors go into the mid-pipes

Awesome, I'm going to try to change these out myself this weekend, do I need any gaskets? Any installation how to's or advise is appreciated.

You should have a pouch with gaskets that came in the box. If you have any questions feel free to call us 512-686-2800, or email sales@emspowered.com

Let's say you do your Long Tube Headers, Intake and CATback. When you guys do something like that, do you disco the batt to reset the ecu?

It is always a good idea to reset the ECU when doing modifications, but it's not a must.
