What about him getting a NO CAT Mid Pipe?
The difference will be very minimal. It's up to RobRed. He is the one putting in the time to test these parts for the community as a third party. We have done what we can to help and given the parts to RobRed to keep free of charge to help lessen the cost incurred on his end. It's the least we could do. I'd be happy to send over a set of cat-less midpipes to RobRed as well if he'd like to test them. I'll leave that up to him.

You mis-understood.

I was referring to your answer to the guy with the CEL.

He mentioned about getting the Catback to fix the CEL, that obviously won't work.

But what about a No Cat mid pipe to fix the CEL?

Oh, I see what you mean. Yes, that'd do the trick as well.

Well I Pulled the trigger on this:

Ordered CAT Back system as well as a pair of NO CAT Mid pipes, plus 2 TailPipes. One with resonator and one without.

Yeah, I'm curious how the No CAT will work as well.

If it throws a code, this will be plan B:

Baktash says most don't throw a code though, so I'm crossing my fingers.

I talked with Baktash, my front 02 is throwing a code. So I may move the rear 02 that is good up front and replace my fried cats with his mid pipe with no cats. Can anybody confirm that this 02 simulator works on the 100? It says 4.7L V8, I'm assuming they are referring to the Tundra, does the Tundra and 100 share similar "communications" with each other? If that is a yes, I'll take my chances with the CEL and no cats and do the 02 simulator like lesgarten

The front bank O2 sensor and the rear bank O2 sensor are not interchangable. Never use an O2 simulator on the front bank O2 sensor, it needs to be good and functioning properly. If not it needs to be replaced with one that works.

Alright. I was hoping they were interchangeable. I'll order a new front 02 and place an order soon. I might just get the entire setup. I still have cracked manifolds, but its only for the first few minutes of driving.

The front sensor screws in, the back has a 2 bolt flange on it, so won't interchange.

I think that O2 Sim should work fine. It is listed for the same motor and the CAT cleanup results should be the same.

I looked at a few O2 Sims, and I liked that one the best.

Bad front o2 can lead to cat destruction. Swap it out for new.
That explains the bits of cat coming out the tail pipe :frown:

I'll take a peak tomorrow. I still have the original 02 sensors in the rear. The front passenger is the only one that has been replaced in 162K according to records. I have had the truck since 2006, my father owned it since 2000. I have searched high and low for 02 replacements and have not found any. I may order the mid pipe with no cats, when do you expect to get your installed? Anyway you could install the mid pipes with no cats on the stock exhaust system and take a video? I have a flow master, so it's slightly louder than stock. No worries if you can't, that is a lot of bolting and unbolted that isn't required on your part.

I got my O2 sensor for the PS from Rockauto. Very reasonably priced and very fast shipping.

Unfortunately, I won't be doing mine for a month or two. I am waiting to see what EMS does with Headers. I was going to pull on the DT's until EMS said they might do a set. So I only want to wrench on the exhaust once. I suspect the Mid Pipes to the Exhaust manifolds are going to require breaking and cutting, so want to do that when I'm prepared for a Fandango, if you know what I mean!

A few more sets of midpipes shipping out today.

Is their an expiration date for the current pricing?

We have extended the sale twice due to high demand. Currently the sale price is good through January 31st.

Just placed my order for mid pipes with no cats. Anyone else have those installed yet or will I be the first?
