I noticed my speedometer is off by about 7mph when I'm doing 70. I'm going to pick up a Superlift Tru-Speed Calibrator and get it installed so I don't have to worry about false accuracy now that I have bigger tires.

It almost looks new. That's great. Do you mind telling what that cost you? I would be interested in doing the same thing. Mine are just a little worse than yours were in the before pictures.

From my experience, the fill material that most shops use on leather doesn't last very long. It doesn't make it look like new initially though. Replacing the cover is the best bet.
My experience being that my dad has owned an auto upholstery shop for over 30 years.

This is good to know. Thanks for chiming in. I have zero experience with this.

Have you regeared your diff's yet since you've add your larger tires? I think that if you regear, that should correct your speedo issues. Not sure though, something I've been told.
I recently added 35" tires and my speedo is almost a perfect 10% off (easy to calc correct speed on the fly while driving). I've purchased new gears front and rear (and a locker for the front) but I still need to get the front rebuild kits for the gears so I can install them. I am expecting to not have to deal with my speedo be off when I'm finished.:hhmm:

Although, I have used that Superlift product on my last expo and it worked great! I just needed to juggle a small screwdriver (eyeglass size) to rotate the micro knob while being on the freeway doing about 70 mph with my gps on telling me exactly what my speed was so I can dial the Superlift to the correct speed.

like the build sir! Id also love to get an sc!!!

Ryan did some more work for me this last week, got my Doug Thorley headers installed (apparently it was a PITA because studs kept breaking). We ended up switching back to the stock rear springs because my ride was super bouncy with the OEM Land Cruiser springs that I got from Nick.

Next step is some new exhaust all the way back.

Go the sub switched out so the crappy Mark Levinson sub is gone and the Audiopipe is installed. Extra details in this thread

Thanks to Ryan again, his facebook page here

Here are some photos from Ryan, my go to mechanic on the Doug Thorley install. His Facebook page is updated with all sorts of cool projects some of them are mine.

This is why I pay Ryan to do this for me. Half of the manifold nuts decided to come off after an hour with a chisel.

Just placed an order with Slee for a 2.5 heavy lift:

2 x SOF2RH Rear Coil Springs
2 x Old Man Emu 60000
2 x Old Man Emu 60002
2 x Old Man Emu Torsion Bars

My AHC has just been trouble. I should have taken it out before buying the new globes.

Had my first real maintenance issue with the rig. up until now I've been upgrading but i had to replace some pulleys and serpentine belt tensioner that were worn out and eating belts.

Next up: Going to have a local mechanic take a shot at taking out the AHC. Wish me/them luck!

Christmas has come early thanks to Christo! Going to get these installed next week.

One bit of advice - the wiring harness for the AHC is a real pain to remove and could eat up alot of time. I pulled it out of my 100 but many people leave it. If I were to do it again I'd probably leave it in place.

Be glad you're not doing it yourself.

Not sure what the final tally will be, way more than what ACC and other pros charge but the AHC system is out now and am just waiting on a new pan hard.

Some pictures from the AHC removal.

Rides a little stiff but I have about 1300 miles to put on it over the holidays that might settle it a little. Still have the metal tech rear upper and lower links that need to be installed later and the suspension phase of this build should be done. Then just need lockers and skid plates.

22" from center of hub to bottom of the fender all the way around. I was expecting a little stinkbug after talking to Christo but wasn't sure.

Wrapping up a 1500 mile trip on the new suspension and so far I like it. Definitely more stiff than the stock AHC setup. Was even able to meetup with burnoneforme while in the DFW area.

I think after I get sliders and skid plates on the ride will settle a little more. I can definitely feel the bumps on the highway but smooth roads are easy and pleasant to drive on. Burnoneforme was mentioning the different between LT and P rated tires which I didn't know about so maybe the next set I get will be P rated tires.
