i've been talking back and forth with accutune about a lift kit. apparently my truck weighs a lot more than i thought it did. they are recommending the 14" 700 lbs king coil over in front and the icon-52800 3" spring for the rear. granted i'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to suspension tech...
New to mud and after searching the forums for awhile without a direct answer. Im getting new shocks OEM. I also want to put in new springs. Will OME 2860's 2"in fit with stock shocks?
Up for sale is a very low mileage set of Slee 4 inch front lift springs for an 80 Series. I installed them and drove them for about 600 miles. They worked great, but I decided to switch to a set of Dobinson Vt’s. Will ship if buyer pays for shipping. I’m asking $200 obo.
Feeling like the Cruiser has a little too much body roll in the turns. I realize it's a Cruiser and not a sports car but I am wondering if new shocks alone would help or would it need springs too ? Would either of these help ? Don't want to ride like a brick but would like a little more...
So, I installed the C97-144VT 3.5" front coils mid 2021 and kept the rear OME863 coils. Been driving that way up to about 2 weeks ago. The front has King remote shocks with adjusters, the rear has Radflo remotes. Radflo's have been on for quite a few years. The King's went on when the Dobinson...

I'm planning to scout out Dishpan Springs trail (3N34) this Saturday Dec 9th 2023. As far as I know, the trail is the only unpaved public route that connects Lake Arrowhead with Holcomb Valley. From my research, this trail is rated a black diamond or 7 out of 10 per OnX technical rating. It has...
Does anyone have shock and leaf spring recommendations for HZJ75 with 2-inch (50mm) lift? From my research, most of the modern brands (King, Fox, Ohlins, etc.) do not make shocks for this dinosaur. Has anyone had experience with KYB, Koni, Rancho, etc.? I know Bilstein makes one, but based on my...
As I inspect and adjust my brakes I see a discrepancy. Do the shoe return springs go both under or one under and one over the shoe? My manual possibly indicates the rear spring is under and the front is over.
A youtube video shows one over one under.
The last guy put both of the springs...
I picked up an 83 pickup this last weekend and it has some lift springs on the front that I am trying to figure out what they are. If anyone knows what this is I would appreciate the info!
Just started a complete suspension upgrade on my LJ73. Everything was pretty much worn out when I got it few weeks ago. I replaced the steering dampener with OME and replaced completely dead front shocks today with OME NitroSports. Amazing difference in front end firmness already and half of the...
I have a set of complete FJ40 axles assemblies from my 1969. Springs and long shackles included. Drum brakes all four corners.
Axles spin freely.
No lockers.
Tires not included.
$400 for the pair.
So lately my mom says her 1999 is way bouncier than it used to be. They got Bilsteins installed in it in June (not sure exactly which ones) and it already has a torsion bar crank + rear spring lift and 33-34” tires.
She says it started just a few weeks ago, and it does seem to get rather bouncy...
I have the springs here that were removed form the 96 80 series truck I have been parting. Not sure how much lift they are but the truck had a very nice look to it. Before disassembling it I measured from the garage floor to the underside of the front fender and the rear wheel opening measured...
