I am preparing my 1965 FJ45 SWB for sale and
The 4wd vacuum control cable broke.
Has any come up with a way to remove the unique Toyota cable from the handle and replace it?
I can't tell if the wire is soldered or leaded into the barrel of the handle or is just press fit.
Anyone have suggestions?
OK, so my first shake out trip in my new to me 97 FZJ80 was this last weekend. All in all it was pretty good, the speedometer doesn't match the actual speed, likely I assume because it has 35" tires. I think I have a fix for that. the other thing was the cruise control light comes on but...

I’ve searched Mud and the internet, in general, but haven’t found what I’m looking for.
Someone stole the power antenna locking nut and the antenna shaft exited the unit. Not knowing what I was doing, I broke the shaft’s geared plastic lead; it was very brittle.
I got a...
Finally installed the cable and pedal to match the Weber carb.
Original carb and cleaner set up were long gone when i picked her up in 2009. Had a small Carter on there.
Throttle had to push/pull rods and linkages and so was a lot of slop in gas pedal. Enough to make it very difficult to...
Anyone out there have an idea if I could put a Tundra right rear e brake cable assembly (Part # 46420-0C061) on my Sequoia (right rear e brake cable assy part no. 46420-0C080)?
My e brake is seized and the Sequoia cable is backordered with no availability until the end of Nov. This is for a...
Pretty rare genuine Toyota tow cable, part 08300-00030. Rated 4500kg (about 5 tons) and about 16’ long. 10mm in diameter. I believe it’s from the 80’s as it has the TEQ logo. May have been only available in the Japanese market. Great condition. $85 which includes shipping to the US. PayPal F&F...
Dear experts, can you help me out on this cable issue. My 1979 bj40 parking brake cabele needs replacement. It is the type with operates rhe two drum brakes. Now the specific cable seems hard to find in Europe. However the cable for a Lancruiser 90 shows exactly the same in the picture of the...
I have a 1980 FJ40. Original 2F. I have had trouble the odometer for as long as I have had the rig. Speedo is fine, but not the odometer. Several years ago I got a new OEM cable from the dealership, and it has never helped.
Any suggestions what I did wrong on the install ?
I've seen several builds, on here and in person, that have synthetic line with a roller fairlead - like this one
I have the same ARB bumper and am concerned about my winch line snagging the build in roller bracket, let alone having issues with the rollers and the line.
I was thinking about...
After a bit of help... Aussie, RH FJ62 with a 3F (not 3FE).
The cable going to the Idle-control valve on the back side of the carbie has a big square connector (its disconnected in the PIC). The next connector down does not seem to be connected to anything ( its a single blade connection...
I was pulling on the speedo cable to get a bit more slack to plug it back into the cluster and it popped and I had more slack...
Either I pulled it out of the trans, which sems unlikely as its' threaded, or there was a clip somewhere between there and the cluster, that I pulled it out of...
Can someone help me and explain what is its purpose? It is an adapter threaded onto Speed cable (I think) to the transfer case . Engine and transmission has been swapped, not sure if this is needed? Yo be connected?
L.C now has a 5.3 with the 4l60e transmission
There has been a recent thread or two on the subject and I have reviewed other threads but I would like to have the relevant FSM section on chenging the cable. I have the ‘97 FSM for my ‘97 LC. The body section has only a brief mention of aligment of the hood latch, that I can find.
Does...

I apologize if this has been discussed but I if it has, I can't find it. That said, I am going to replace my steel winch line (Warn winch) on my 40 with a synthetic rope. Which strength line do you recommend?
Not sure if this has been covered… on my ‘97 LX450 the hood release lever was not functioning very well for the last year or so; particularly in cold weather… the underhood latch would often not reset and the lever would not return to the closed position …. Finally ordered a new factory cable...
I want to add one to my incoming ('95 HZJ75) Troopy. I have found an OEM cruise control - (SORRY! hand throttle cable) - is that all I need? Is there a floor pedal specifically for the hand throttle?
