Hello I recently purchased a 2f out of 1987 fj60 with newer carb and smog stuff. I also have a f carb from original engine 1970 that will probley need a rebuild. Should I D smog newer carb but also have figure out going from cable 1970 pedal to mechanical carb.

I currently have a 74 FJ40 with a 2f engine and 75 carb. Can I use the original setup on the 74 which consists of the wire on the harness side coming through the firewall (attached picture) or do I have to use the 1975 setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
