Switch Doctor Window and Lock Switches

Double check, but I think the link above is to the same switch with the bezel color in black. My cruiser has the Sepia brown interior and I replaced this switch assembly in about 15 minutes. Then I discovered that only my driver's window worked and followed the instructions provided by...

New FJ62 Owner - Meet Bertha

Did you restore that e-brake handle and have tips you want to share?

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

Thanks again all. I’ve also had great service from Partsouq...too bad they show this part NLA. I tried Toyota Parts Deal, but like @Scro my order was cancelled. Just finished the air filter can so I’ll focus on the e-brake handle and let y’all know if I find a source. Later, that elusive...

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

I agree...it shows up as NLA now at Partsouq, but appears to be available at Megazip and ToyotaPartsDeal. I've had bad luck with TPD...their site shows availability, but after I order I find out otherwise. I've never used Megazip.

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

@ToyotaMatt here's the fuel door decal comparison to original. I can't seem to attach files to PM's so I've highjacked my own thread for this sidebar.

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

I'm like 99.5% sure the decal is exactly it! Well done and thanks...PM sent. Also, @Spook50 did have the correct part number for my FJ62. Other part sites (like Passport Toyota) show that P/N 46210-60041-01 fits my 1988 FJ62. Maybe a different color, but it is the same part otherwise. I...

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

Thanks for the Ebay lead Toyota Matt...that handle is better than mine, but still needs some work and puts me back in about the same place as before. I'll finish up the paint job on my air filter and tackle the handle next. Separate question...do you have a clearer picture of the wording on...

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

Thanks Spook and MoaByte. I just painted a new gray dash with SEM brown and it came out great. I'm not sure what will happen when I try to sand the rubber, but it sure worth a try. Maybe coat it with an epoxy first? I was spooked (no pun intended) about buying the handle P/N above because...

    Needed: E-brake handle restoration suggestions

I haven't been able to find a replacement in good condition, so I'd like to know if there is a way to restore my existing rubber to "like-new" condition. Here's what I have now...any suggestions?

Wanted FJ62 brown E-brake handle in V. Good condition

Yes...maybe only black and brown? I've heard the dye in the brown handles reacted with the rubber and caused them to break apart. I think I'll delete my post and request a black one. Thanks for the reminder.

What did you do with your 60 this weekend?

Maybe not my own work, or just this weekend, but I did pick up my truck from Doug DeLong's "Well Sorted Automotive" in Buena Vista, CO this weekend. Very happy with the results after he did the following: 1. Rear-gear both axles to 4.56, new wheel bearings and rebuilt knuckle joints 2. Install...

Sorry...roof panel NLA. Please delete from list.

    Barrett_Jackson

Sorry... I was mislead. I compiled a list of available OEM parts from Passport Toyota. They are normally very good about being up-to-date. After you asked, I sent them a message and they have unfortunately said the roof panel is NLA. My list of parts on this thread: Ultimate OEM 60 series...

How to Change FJ62 Dash Color

Some imperfections that maybe only I"ll notice, but overall pretty pleased. Here's the dash after UV Colorbond: Recap: Dawn soap, SEM soap, SEM Vinyl Prep, SEM Color Coat and ColorBond UV Protectant.
