have used royal purple in my motorcycle for past several years (tranny and final drive)... had napa brand before and RP makes things smoother and according to infrared heat sensor it runs cooler. didn't keep records of the numbers but it was significant to me.

can also use zip ties instead of buying hog rings and pliers -- worked for me

another bump w diagram. used tranny missing spacer and locking ball.............if i can get the spacer i can start to reassemble transfer case

i'm looking for a couiple of tranny parts -- specifically, the screw plug, spring and locking ball for the 5th shift fork shaft. the plug screws in to the main case near the 5th shift arm but on the side. it is smaller in diameter than the plugs in the transfer case. also need the "spacer"...

if you don't carry an extra alternator, then be sure to have an extra voltage regulator ($27 or so at NAPA). dang part left me stranded in the outback of virginia on a 500 mile trip to the outer banks.

i used a pen paint marker to highlight the 7* line -- makes it a lot easier to see when timing.

i doubled up on mine, then zip-tied to stop any rattle.

it doesn't look like you are reinstalling a\c condenser?? if not, any heavy screen will do. my welding buddy had some scrap laying around with diamond spaces and works great. really like having something in front of radiator.

after happening first hand i would think it would be a "no brainer" considering how easy it is and the potential downside.......but then others have gone 300k without the fix........i got tired of being fixated on the oil pressure gauge.
