Hello, hope you’re still active! I have a 1KZ leaking from what seems like the same spot, (picture attached) is this the area you’re talking about? My shop wants to send the whole pump to get rebuilt but I’d like to try this approach first. Thanks for any advice!

I’m 95% sure this is where my shop is wanting to send it, I have found a new OEM one online for $2100 which would be about the cost of it being rebuilt so I’m trying to figure out which I want to do

It’s leaking from the area circled, from what I can tell there isn’t a gasket or seal in this spot, I’ve watched a few videos on them, but again I’m not expert, I think the rear facing spot is the rotor head.

New to me KZj78 has a small diesel leak coming from injection pump on the junction of the rotor head, doing some digging I'm not seeing any sort of gasket or O-rings for this junction, what could be the cause of this leak?
