Hey everyone, I've had my 1993 Kzj78 with the 1kz-te for about 2 months now. It had a worn and busted turbo that I had fixed, and it was the suspected location for the burning coolant. Well it's still eating coolant and throwing a ton of white smoke out the exhaust. There are no visible leaks, and the 2 block-tests I had done came back fine. The engine oil also looks fine and is not milky. The shop I'm working with thinks I'm crazy but I've gone through 3 gallons of coolant topping it off. Has anyone had this issue or knows what my priority of work should be to figure this out? thanks

Cracked cylinder head.

What is a block test and what does it tell you?

pull the head

Definitely a cracked head. Par for the course owning a KZ engine family iteration.

Get a new head (available in the US from Toyota) and an engine gasket kit and start rebuilding.
How much do these run out here in the US (not in need, just for potential future reference.... Knock on wood)
