I've been running Trail Terrain 285/60 for a few years now, in fact I'm on my second set. 33psi indicated on the TPMS, 34 on my extremely accurate tire gauge worked wonderful thus far, even wear @ 28K mi. 40/38 cold tire pressure is too much.

It's normal for LC to wear the outer edges of the OEM tires. Keep the cold tire pressure 33-34psi, as you're rolling down 70-80mph on hot summer days it will increase to 39-40psi. 36psi isn't ideal.

Check your battery, if it's 4lo/hi , diff lock is showing up on first start more than likely battery is week.

My passenger door started acting up a year ago, wouldn't lock with the FOB, only from inside the car I was manually able to lock the car, I ended up replacing the actuator, part itself wasn't terribly expensive, took me about an hour to replace it.

I can't comment on 285/65, I decided to go with stock 285/60 D range KO2s, as you can see KO2s do add substantial weight , on road I do feel the acceleration and braking suffer a bid hence the MPG, ride is very decent compare to the OEM tyres, however at fwy speeds if you hit potholes heavier...

If my 16 LC door jamb sticker states that.... GVWR is 7385lb GAWR fr...3595lb rear...4300lb Why not just inflate the KO2s to satisfy the loading values for GVWR or GAWR?

I've been running KO2s for the last 3 winters on my 17, they're surprisingly quiet, also worth mentioning they track better than the OEM Dunlops. As others stated here, they slightly bug down the acceleration hence the milage. OEM weight with stock wheels 72lb KO2 weight with 200 gen 1 wheels...
