Bolt patterns are totally different. I was so glad to ditch the split case and AA adapter. HF2A is the way to go. Easy to find. The 100 series cases have the short output if that is what is needed.

Yes. I always ask if in stock before I order just like most vendors I use.

Big different in pice too between the All State Gear (cheap) and the B&M short throw (expensive). Have had both. Both do same thing but the ASG puts the shifter a bit more left. I also have the Hurst which is a loud rattletrap.

If your spare isn’t under the truck that’s a good spot for tank. Plenty of threaded holes along the frame to make a mount.

Looking for a matching wheel, with or without tire, to use as a spare on my 2000 100 series as it didn't come with one. Just need something to get me through till fall when I change wheels and tires.

Barring tool works great but I find the alternator nut is sometimes easier.

I was pretty nervous when I replaced my pump too. Not bad at all. I was able to turn the engine over with one hand and push the flywheel pin in with the other. Would have been easier on a non lifted truck or with a second person. Good luck. Clean clean clean.

I cruise at 7-12. My boost comes in higher in rpm range. I would like to find the sweet spot for fuel economy but it’s not my daily so I just leave it.

I can hit 30psi boost easily in 4th and 5th with hx35. That is only when I need to pass someone. I rarely push it past 15. On my last trip out to west Texas it was hitting 20 on the inclines on I10 so I turned down the fueling a bit on the way home. Easy to do with AFC.

I leave the hole open all the time since I haven’t been in hood deep water. I image my intake temps are taking the hit since it’s pulling in engine bay air. It was only meant to be a short term fix. That was 8 years ago.
