    HZJ75 part number help please

Great information, thankyou. I haven't actually checked local availability on this one yet. Importers have become a rather attractive option when there's ability to plan ahead, due to severe cases of "dealer tax". Price differences vary a lot, but some things are insanely more expensive at the...

    HZJ75 part number help please

Thanks mate, what would the slightly cheaper 12101-17110 part number be? If I use an older serial number of the era that had no oil level sensor, it says the sump is 12101-17040. So it seems odd that there's two part numbers for the era with the level sensor.

    HZJ75 part number help please

Sump for a 1996 HZJ75. Mine has an oil level switch on the left side, but this picture doesn't show it. Which part number do I want, to get one with the hole for the oil level switch?

    Fusible Link Replacement Question

What model is it? If it's a 1HZ engine, the two other legs may be glow and power/charge. The one you are questioning may be headlights. See if your headlights work. Then disconnect it and see if they stop working. Regardless of what circuit it is for, to connect, I would look what is inside...

    Grooved Axle Shaft Repair Options

I used speedi sleeves once. It worked fine immediately after, but I really didn't keep the vehicle long enough to give it a decent long term test. I would try them again though.

    1HZ PS woes

Same engine though? What about parking another vehicle close to it and connect up some longer hoses? I know it would be a hassle to make hoses up, but it seems you're well and truly past hassle stage.

    Sudden Wheel Bearing Failure?

Forget fish scales and forget torque wrenches. Make sure the nuts and spindles have perfect smooth thread so the nuts can be turned with your fingers. Tighten the inner nut with your fingers until there's no freeplay. Fit the lock tab washer. Tighten the outer nut with about the same force...

    Sudden Wheel Bearing Failure?

Three mentions of not using the fish scale method - are you all saying that method makes them too tight or too loose? The only things I can think of are: What brand of bearings are you using? Are you packing the bearings with grease properly or just smearing a bit on the outside of them?

Adding Oil Pressure & Water Temp gauges to 1HZ

Oil pressure sender thread is 1/8" bspt. Use a Male/Female/Female tee fitting from a hydraulic fittings shop. It's near the starter motor. Water temperature thread, I have no idea. However, I wouldn't bother adding an extra one, because what use is a water temperature sensor if your radiator...
