    SOLD 92 FJ80 Knoxville TN $4900

92 LandCruiser FJ80. Not locked 3fe engine in good shape, no smoke. Just drove it Lake Erie and back with no issues. 4WD / 4x4 works, high and low. Tires are in great shape, with Dick Cepeck rims. Body panels are good, with a little rub damage to the rockers. Interior is clean. It is time...

Help ID engine bay wires please.

Maybe not as good as hoped. I put in a 500 mile trip, steady state on the highway, and the response was all over on the AFR's. Acceleration, or pulls up long hills would give good results, steady high 13's, but the rest of the time, it wanted to sit somewhere between 10's and 11's. That is...

    Low oil pressure at idle

Toyota/Lexus 1uz is 4psi at idle. Not sure what info that trivia reveals, except that sometimes Toyota designs it that way.

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Had no O2's, so installed a Innovate MTX-L gauge with Bosch wideband o2, and feed narrowband o2 signals from the gauge to the ECU. Big difference!

Help ID engine bay wires please.

Just to close this out for now. Not sure why the grounded shroud was added to the white wire, but it seems to be original. Some stuff was chopped in the engine bay, so I modified things again to my need by putting in the wideband O2. I have a single O2 on the front bank, which sends directly...

Help ID engine bay wires please.

Working on things now. Seems the oddball big gray wires were the replacement ones.. For now, I have an innovate wideband setup that outputs a narrow band signal for the ecu. That's going in, and I can ideally keep track of what is going on.

Help ID engine bay wires please.

That does help confirm that the wires go across the transmission, but not much more than that. Not being super familiar with this engine setup, and getting into the previous owners changes, makes things a little difficult. I have made huge use of the search function already, but I am not...

Help ID engine bay wires please.

New to me 92. Sorting little issues, and lots of progress so far. The cats and o2's have previously been removed, and this thing runs a bit to rich, so I would like to put the o2's back in. The #1 O2 wires and connector are present. Wires come out of the room at the driver inner fender, run...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Early weekend, so a few little things done already. *Full de-smog. EGR, pump, vacuum lines, etc. *De-carbed the intake and throttle body. *Cleaned the injectors, and new o-rings. One short run around the block after letting it idle to fully warm. Certainly more power than before. I have no...

    3fe ECT ohm?

Awesome, thank you. I have not purchased the FSM yet. I just bought this truck a week ago.

    3fe ECT ohm?

Running through the little things. My oil change smelled of fuel. My cold start injector was pretty nasty too. So once the gaskets are in, I will be cleaning the intake and taking a look at the injectors. I want to also test my coolant temp sender, the one for the ECU. Can anyone tell me...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

New to me 92. Just trying to straighten a few things up before the first big trip. No start - Seems to be the Negative terminal. It has the cheap aftermarket cable ends. The bolts that clamp the wires on, were about 3/4" too long. the ends were on the battery itself, preventing the the...

help with a stumbling ldle and CEL code 24 obd1 1994

Zero experience with my 80 so far. So, grain of salt. It's a pretty big list of things that could be the culprit. My first two choices would be faulty/clogged Idle control solenoid, or vacuum leak. Other choices are Ignition problem, TPS adjusted wrong, dirty injectors, dirty fuel filter...
