What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

How bad is the original foam at 90-100k typically? Mine feels decent but i just bought the vehicle at 90k. I noticed today there is now a long line/bump on the left bolster towards the bottom half that I hadn't noticed before. Kind of like a wire or more likely folding of foam that is creating a...

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Is this the company? www.usautoseatcover.com Their website states "All original Safety devices must be transferred and reassembled on to the new replacement cover by a Certified Professional Upholstery installer." and they have it in bold all over. Any issues with the air bag? Did you actually...

    Removal of PPF?

We had two clear sections on the fender tips that I didn't photograph. They had just started to crack in a few tiny spots, we debated leaving them they were so clean. We removed them and they were very easy compared to the other areas. Peeled entire sections off.

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Can you explain what you're doing here? i've heard of washing the frame by connecting a hose or something, is that what's going on? I just spend a while with a pressure washer but wonder if i'm missing a critical area and one day find i need to make a "is this too much rust" post.... i get a lot...

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Removed the 10-yr old PPF from our used 2013 LX. Incredible transformation and shockingly was only around 6 hours of work. More details on the process with photos on this post. Before: After:

    Removal of PPF?

My wife and I just removed the original 10-year old PPF from our new-to-us 2013 LX 570. It was left outside with low mileage, clearly baking in the sun with leaves, pollen, etc. allowing it to crack and mold. PPF was on the hood, side fender tips, and mirrors. Below was our process, which...

SL, C, or E rated tires for mild overland build? LX570

The Defender MS2 285/65R18 XL ride very comfortable and quiet on the highway. Noticeably more than the Geolandar LT (both compared brand new - see my previous posts). Geolandars weren't "bad" but wife and kids agree the Defenders are a noticeable improvement. Not a big deal for a 2-hour drive...

SQOD Squad - Stupid Question Of the Day

Yeah I don't know... Got this used 10-yrs old. Was very difficult to remove and i noticed the prior owner had scratched around the plastic whole a fair bit. just tried reinserting them and would need a hammer to get it back in. I tried squeezing the clip long part but you really can't do that...

SQOD Squad - Stupid Question Of the Day

Can I leave off the two clips on the LC200/LX's hitch cover or will vibrations cause the cover to back out and fly off? The clips are a major PITA to remove and re-install, and I'd rather pull on/off the cover. Has anyone gone without clips for an extended period?

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Was this the entire headlight unit or can you just replace the plastic covering? Presumably the whole thing….? I have a 2013 LX with headlights that turn with the wheel and I’m assuming those are $1k+ each to replace…. : ( need to research a bit if there’s a cheaper way.

    Adding Airbags to AHC

I know this is a while back, but in this photo were you able to drop the tailgate and raise the liftgate with the yakima and carrier swung out like that?

So I think the Michelin Defender is the perfect all-terrain tire... (For most of us)

Soon to be joining the Defender club... If you followed my posts about wheels/tires recently, I swapped my LX to LC 18" wheels and Geolandar G015 LT 285/65R18. After a 2,000 mile road trip to Big Bend, we've decided to return them for the newly released 285/65R18 XL Defenders. DT is ordering...
