It's been in there for at least 9 years since I bought this rig. Unk how long it was in there b4. Keep finding surprises. Going to Frankenstein it to get it running and then replace it with a real one. F***

Doing my front end with this kit. Driver side went as expected. When I got into the passenger side, I found this...
It does not fit the splines in the driveshaft kit, so I'm having to Frankenstein it
Sorry, I have not mounted up my aft skid plate yet, but mine will not fit with the 40 gal LRA tank. I have to install spacers under the rear mounting holes in the skidplate for clearance. It's possible that newer Dissent skid plates are clearanced for this, but mine are not.
@TLCPNW , Your suspicions are confirmed. The Dissent skid plate intereres with the LRA 40 gal main tank. There is a fix, however. 2 inch tall spacers at the rear mounting points of the skid plate will do it. Pics when completed.
@dubdub20003 , here's your pics
I do! Haven't mounted them back up after the install cuz I've still got to remove my front diff for the locker install. I'll throw them up temporarily and snap a pic.
100 series parts for sale. Name your price.
Stock fuel tank and skid plate.
Rear stock springs and control arms.
Control arms are taken.
Stock springs, fuel tank and skid plate remain. Towing hitch as well
So, the LRA 40 gallon tank. After pulling the original, I added all the new parts I bought. I broke one of the little yellow clips 🙄. This tank was big and the fi in the truck was TIGHT.
While I had the tank out, I realized that there was going to be a lot of interference with trying to replace...
It's been a couple years of parts sitting on the shelf. Chaos theory in life, sometimes gets in the way of wrenching. Anyway, I made time this week to install the following:
Dissent Rear bumper w/ dual swing outs.
LRA 40 gallon main fuel tank.
Complete front and rear Tough Dog suspension from...
Did mine today, and used a 1-5/16" socket from NAPA, and a MAP gas torch. Worked like a charm. The driver side gave me a nice pop, and the pass side just squirted out.
I did my rear shocks today. Did it with 2 crescent wrenches in about 30 minutes.
Also, its easier to change the rear shocks when the pesky gas tank is out of the way.
