I would use the paint marker pen to draw a line on the bolts and on the flat surface of BOTCK to ensure they have not moved over time. Mine have moved a little after 3 months and re-torqued them and have not moved since 6 months now. just an fyi..

As I said before, most noisy between 45 and 60mph. Meaning you know there is a rack on top, but tolerable. On a 1 to 10 scale a 3. I don't even notice it otherwise. On a windy or crosswind (>20 to 30 mile gusts) days, it's definitely noisy like any other roof rack.
