    1998 2UZFE death rattle?

It does sound a bit like the throttle motor/clutch. Can you unplug those and see if the sound goes away? Where is your PCV hose? It looks blocked off at the throttle body. EDIT: Wait, did the belt snap while chasing the noise? Or did the belt brake in the past, was replaced, and now it makes...

    LX470 Wrong Alternator Connections Confirmation?

I indeed misunderstood. I think you're on the right track, great job troubleshooting so far. My own notes show the 'S' as the outer, not center pin like you've found. This is one way the alt could be miss-wired to be always "on" but still sensing and working correctly with the engine running...

*Journal Thread* Solving the melted 25A EFI fuse issue

Sound right. Sometimes a fuse fails because of a downstream load (textbook fuse pop), often times its just bad connections at the fuse it'self that cause heating and resulting load increase and opening. Good clean connections are the key, an old fusebox will have some loose fits and a high...

    LX470 Wrong Alternator Connections Confirmation?

That is the normal alternator connector for a 2000 model (1998-2002 really). If the alternator is related to a measurable parasitic draw then disconnecting the alternator and repeating the test should tell you if it's in the alt or not. My guess is your parasitic draw is elsewhere. When you're...

    Late night recovery

Ah, ok then. Maybe you ran onto some private land? Your original posts made it sound like you went where the McDonalds local sent ya, like it could have been a trap or something. Still weird to get chased off by frantic bikers for sure.... That rock stuck is crazy bad luck... when it gets that...

    Bolt identification help

I also think it's most likely one of the lower bolts going into the fan bracket that fell out after the timing job.

100-series SPOTTED: Whose cool 100 did you see?

Hey guys, thanks for the shout out! The side ladder is easy, that's an Gamiviti side ladder from @nakman that you can find here: https://www.gamiviti.com/ladders The stainless steel thing bolted to the swing is a custom thing I made to hold tables and things, not a product at this time.

    Air intake crusty hoses

Yep, the -50030 is the passenger side valve cover to intake (fresh air into the crank case)... that -50080 looks like the PCV to throtte body (crank stink back to the fire holes).

Dealer botched cv install, now i need a new front diff. Questions.

Also curious about miles traveled, seems that if it was in fact "Bone Dry" due to not being filled at all it wouldn't last more than a couple tanks of gas or less before things got real noisy. If it was filled and leaked that bad you'd see the mess.

Dealer botched cv install, now i need a new front diff. Questions.

Agree it's old and could just fail anytime, however, it sounds like they didn't fill it with oil after installing the CV's which would CAUSE it to fail. If they did fill it to spec with the correct lube then it's likely just down to bad luck.
