Hey Mud,

I've been trying to decide on an aftermarket amber fog for my LC and have been going back and forth between these two. I will be using a BenEBuild housing, but don't really think I want to do dual fogs per side. I am 85% on pavement with a few offroad adventures per year and will have an HID retro kit, so overall driving output should never be an issue.

I know the Sport has considerably more output, though technically illegal for street. If I were to choose the Sport, I was thinking the Driving/Combo light pattern would be the way to go. Does anyone have any input on the patterns for a primarily pavement princess?

Or should I just go with the SAE and know it will be plenty of output while staying legal?

I'll hang up and listen.

I recently installed the SAE's and love them because the cut off is so good that I can run them on the roads 95% of the time where I really need the added lighting. I'd still like something with more of a flood pattern as a supplement for late night trails but that is the 1% use case.

I've been running the SAEs on my "city mouse" 100 for years on Ben's first-gen housings and love them, I run them 100% of the time my lights are on an the cutoff is perfect. That said, agree on the need for additional supplemental lighting for trail/dark highways. If I was doing this again I would buy Ben's dual light housing and then mount them on separate switches.

Thank yall for the replies. For the trail use, do you think you would pair them up with the Sport Wide Cornering? Or just Use the Driving/Combo and leave the SAE off?

Personally, I'm going to install the Driving/Combo in @BenCC's fog light housings. Looking at the Sport Wide Cornering, I think I'd get what I need in the Driving/Combo. YMMV.

Do you plan to use them along with a pair of SAE? Or just the Driving/Combo?

Just the Driving/Combo (Squadron Pro). My use case is primarily off-road. I have @BenCC's M19V5 kit and will likely mount an amber S2 SAE in the other slot for on-road. I have an LED light bar up top.
