DT Header cracks?

Dusting off this classic to see what the best solution is today. My 1st run DT headers are cracked up badly after all this time. Another member gave me a take off cracked DT unit so I could play with repairs... there is no way to make a decent repair, the metal is burned out really badly and there are too many cracks to address. -these are all old so not expecting warranty support or anything like that so late in the game.

I see these days the DT's are listed for ~$1100 but have showed unavailable and out of stock for awhile.

What is a '99 owner to do these days? -Truck sounds horrible and I don't want to risk any warped valves but I'm not finding many options for headers or manifolds for the early trucks.

What would 'mud do?

OEM make sure to get gaskets and nuts. May need some studs also.
Tip, just for you old my friend. ;)
Sale 25% off wholesale, coming up Nov 24th. No shipping no tax and best packer in the world.

Thanks for the reply!
I'm guilty of assuming the OEM's were long gone, nice to see they are still an option, and yep some hardware, gaskets, and heatshields will also be in order.
I see Cruiser Patch does show the DT's may be back in the coming months, it would be nice to have options.
Glad it's sale season, it's rough looking at old threads and seeing what headers and manifolds used to cost. 25% helps! :)

these are mild steel and for left hand drive. I read on one of the AU manufacturer's site that they recommend a ecu tune to reduce risk of cracked headers. if anyone has used these i'm interested in your results.

they might have dt's in stock...

I don't think these fit. the quality is suspect. it sounds like you can weld, perhaps you can make them work. do any of you think it's worth making these fit?

when it comes time to replace my manifolds with new or upgrade with headers, i'm thinking of using ti studs like these. I expect to have a heck of a time removing mine, so I don't want to fight with them twice. I didn't confirm the fit of this listing.

Much appreciate all the inputs!

Those long tube Rhinos look interesting... but I wonder if they would smog okay in colorado? Given they are priced close to DT I probably won't be the one to find out...

May need to call xat and see if they really have some DT's.

Those super cheap ebay stainless are real interesting for the price. If the output flange lined up this might make a serviceable spare for the rt side... for that price if I can confirm the output flange alignment I might be willing to give it a shot to see what we find out.

fyi...the rhinos are 200 cheaper on their site. perhaps they'd sell them without their cats and you could get them cheaper. my main beef with them is they're not stainless. emissions is a concern.

Rhinos aren't emissions complicated they come with a downstream O2 spacer to fool the computer. Also saw in another thread that they were rubbing in someplaces.
