    Timing belt kit

Yes, the Aisin TKT-021 is a good timing belt kit for the 2UZ. Buying from Amazon/eBay is a gamble. You may not get genuine parts. I would suggest sourcing the Aisin TKT-021 kit from a reputable shop/distributor.

Getting a trailer for the hundy

I bought a nice aluminum trailer several years ago. Having a trailer that is slightly wider than the 100 is easier to back than one that is narrower than the 100. This 6x10 trailer pulls like a dream behind the 100, but the gate does act as a wind sail. That said, pulling a trailer to town to...

I don’t have parking lights, need help.

To expand on that, I suggest unplugging the trailer light converter to help diagnose the problem. A failed converter can cause really bizarre light behavior in the 100.

    Rust worth the purchase

You sure the vehicle isn't in Australia? Most of the pics are upside down. The rust is certainly better than I expected based on the vehicles history. However for the price and your location, you can do better and have fewer headaches.

    HAC Circuit?

What codes are you seeing with the CEL? I do not believe there is any altitude compensation circuit or air pressure sensor in the 100.

    Crankshaft Timing Pulley Removal

You can't get the timing belt around the pulley and properly align the belt on the crank gear if the pulley is still on the end of the crankshaft. I always check the pulley for bulging/separating rubber or any other damage. The picture in the FSM looks like they are showing the removal of the...

    Poor Comptession, Multiple missfires

Verify the cams are timed correctly with the crank. Set the motor to TDC (0 degrees advanced) and note the position of the cam gears. Take a picture and share it here. Remember, the timing belt marks do not stay "in time" once the motor turns over.

Opinions and install info - Harbor Freight 12k Winch w/ 98-02 ARB Bumper 3413050

The SuperWinch I have had on the front of my J€€p was initially a pain in the butt to free spool. I initially installed it in winter and cold temps made it worse. It seemed to loosen up after free spooling it in summer. Today (18 years later) it pulls out no problem.

    Shear Comfort Seat Covers

I have Shear Comfort covers on the front of my Cruiser seats. They fit pretty well but not as tight as the Wet Okole I used to have.

Opinions and install info - Harbor Freight 12k Winch w/ 98-02 ARB Bumper 3413050

I am rocking the ARB deluxe bar on my '99 with a Warn VR winch (I've had since the line was introduced in 2011) on stock indexed t-bars. The bumper and winch didn't seem to drop the ride much, maybe 1/2" which was easy to overcome by cranking on the t-bar bolts. I've used the winch hook as a...

    Gasoline ??? 87 vs 93

I run ethanol free 87 most of the time. Helps keep those fuel tank vapors in check.

Pintle rear hitch with coastal off road

Sure looks like you have the standard pintle pattern. According to e-trailer, the standard pintle pattern is 3 3/8" x 1 3/4" center to center.

Pintle rear hitch with coastal off road

Sorry, I missed the bit about being LX compliant. Did the rear cross member on your 100 have a large hole in it to mount the factory hitch insert? If not, you have the standard NATO pintle pattern and any pintle will bolt up. If your factory cross member is set up for the factory hitch insert...

    1998 2UZFE death rattle?

It's a non-vvti motor so there is a good chance it is okay. I would throw an Aisin timing belt kit on it and hope for the best.
