I would think the cost from an installer would be cost prohibitive. Also, he's smart for not wanting to get near cutting up the factory wire harness.

I got some armrests from another Mudder, but haven't replaced them yet. They did dry up a little, but are now a little sticky-crusty instead of oily-sticky.

I have the AGM voltage mod gizmo that cranks up the voltage a little. Last AGM battery lasted 11 years. They did say the battery had a bad cell. The handheld gadget at Autozone I don't know much about, it didn't look cheap. They parroted off a bunch of parameters that it tested for as well...

I had an issue a month or so ago where the little nylon pad that shuts the brake light off when your foot is off the pedal escaped and started punishing my battery severly. So that hammered a few coffin nails into the battery and it "tested" bad at autozonbe and Oreilleys, a GRP 31 Odyssey AGM...

I've been driving it for 225,000 miles and it's getting my attention. I'm almost 70, so my hearing is not improving in the last 24 years I don't think. Something has me thinking it's louder.

It sounds like a locked up fan, but the fan doesn't seem to be locked up. Loud roaring, jet engine kinda taking off thing, mainly through the gears and then I don't notice as much at road speed. By the fan bracket, I would think I would feel it as a bad bearing, right? I have to say I'm kinda...

I'm at 225K. I'm not clear on the holding the fan part! You're scaring the crap out of me. I only got 2 hands and I think I need them both! LOL

I've had theis LC since new in 2002. It has a loud roaring when revving in neutral or accelerating. I don't remember it always being this loud. The fan clutch "feels" ok to me. Here is a short clip, but so much normal engine noise I'm not sure it will be apparent.

That's quite an imagination you have there! I'm a clutch abuser since the mid 70's, Swedish, Japanese, German, Italian, and American. They all smell the same... Nasty! and in the Porsche, expensive!

No, only notice it when driving long distance. Never offroad, this is a Tarmac car. Only notice when driving long distance.

Not an oil smell, smells like I slipped the clutch on a Porsche if you know what I mean. That clutch or brake pad smell.
