The powder coating on SLEE bumpers is extremely high quality. 15 yrs, 75k miles on mine and it's still in great condition. Zero blemishes or issues.
I can't comment on others, no experience outside ARB or Kaymar.
If it is anything like the 70 series cable that opens and closes the heater valve, it's nothing more than a push/pull wire in a nylon sleeve. If there is no PN for a 60 series available you could always try one from a 70 series. If it comes to...
FWIW, I have the Landtank lowers originally purchased through Wits End. They've been on for many years now. No paint left on the underside anymore and they're still straight.
I also don't buy into any adjustable parts that keep the axles under...
I installed an ARB compressor hidden in one of the side wings of the new drawer system and put two ARB air line quick disconnects on either side at the gull windows for easy access.
Compressor is switched on with a matching Apielle stainless...
Updates, late October 2026:
I've been very much under the weather for several days now and haven't checked to see what orders people have placed over the weekend. I'll be doing that today! Wednesday or Thursday of last week (time is a blur right...
Well, after doing all of this in July preparing for my annual Montana trip in the 80. My AC compressor decided to give up the ghost and ended up getting the dreaded "black death" in the entire system.
Worked like hell to replace the compressor...
I’m on operation: lighten the 80! So far have pulled off 210# off the roof and 110# off the rear. Next steps are to slim down on my spare parts and gear I carry inside and possibly take out my drawers.
Slee’s powder coating is crazy good. Even after 10years. Whatever the primer coating is that’s under it is also. Spots on the front bumper I’ve rubbed through the PC on something or where a vehicle hit me have never rusted.
Did a bunch of wheeling over last week. Installed two 9” big lion lights on the front bumper (my 80 amp alternator is having a hard time keeping up with their draw). Also upgraded my gmrs antenna to a radome bull bar type. Seems to be a big...
Another great day wheeling near Superior with friends, when I pulled this stunt...
Looking for RH fender and all three pieces of glass for the RH hardtop side panel (1978). Any leads appreciated.
Took the 60 on a trip down Moss Wash to the old Gold King Mansion. Right up there with Hole in the rock as a favorite trail.
Technical rock crawling, steep climbs, butt puckering shelf roads, and elevation changes from desert to pine forests
I work with a charity called Boone Brothers that takes harvested deer/ turns them into meat sticks that are distributed to needy kids directly through schools. 21% of the kids in KY are protein deficient. Our goal is 250,000 packs of two sticks...

Knuckles, hub rebuild, front and rear brakes and hoses, 555 steering joints and some new parking brake equalizer bushings that I realized were completely missing.
Had a couple of casualties along the way...old (apparently brass or something)...
Have you installed and used these? Any info you can provide from longer term use and reliability?
This appear to be a great option for an 80 upgrade from the stock alternator that is plug and play.
Made from Denso parts, real high quality, plug and play so no need to do anything but install. Although you should upgrade you wiring if going big to biggest amps...
