Selling my 2016 GX460 in black onyx with sepia interior. The odometer is currently at ~115K miles but the mileage will go up as the car is driven daily. Hey all, I sold my 100 and bought this beautiful stock GX about 6 months back. I'd bought another higher mileage GX from the same seller which I loved then this one popped up so I pulled the trigger as this was in incredible condition and checked all the boxes.
Well, as much as I love having 2 GX's I do miss my 100 series so putting out a feeler for a trade, even-steven or cash on top. I've put less than 1000 miles on it. The blizzard pearl paint that is known to peel was repainted by previous owner, I don't have paperwork but they did a really nice job as confirmed by local paint shop. I'm a LX owner and am helping my sister purchase a GX (2015-2018). I'm not very familiar with the GX other than the basics. I do plan to have a licensed mechanic perform a PPI but I was hoping I could get some guidance and input from some of the experts on this forum regarding any specific areas I should be concerned with when purchasing one of these models? As I am an experienced Toyota product owner who has learned his lesson the hard way, the vehicle will be scrutinized thoroughly for rust but I would appreciate any additional suggestions for mechanical or electrical inspection. This GX has been a wonderful over lander and daily driver for me. I have driven it on numerous road trips including to Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and has run great. I am in the market for a well-sorted pre-facelift (2010-2013) gx460 ideally in colorado, but I'm willing to travel for one that is already tastefully built. Hoping to find one with maintenance records from another enthusiast (or just someone who cares about what they drive), no rust, reasonable miles (the lower the better), and a clean interior/exterior. I don't care too much about the color, as long as it's clean. My goal is to add a few mild upgrades (lift, wheels, tires, maybe bumpers) to increase trail worthiness and mostly retain the OEM+ look, so if you've already done that, even better!
