Unfortunately it isnt my truck. It belongs to a customer of mine who will be driving it all over the country, so Im sure if you attend any events next year "08" you will probably see it. It will be finished by the end of January.
The truck:
started life as a 73? (I will double check tomorrow) with a F, 3 speed combo. When the truck was brought to us it had been bought from a dealor who bought it from the origonal owner. 99% rust free. I had to make a small patch for both ft floorboards but that was it.
The customer said that he "wants it to drive like a modern vehicle" so....
Now: Non US 3F carbed. H55, split case
Ft axle; stock housing, 4.11, ARB, FJ62 disks w/ IFS calipers, OME 2 1/2" FJ40 springs,
Rear axle; FJ40 Full Float, 4.11, ARB, FJ62 drums w/ parking brake, Alcan custom leafs to match ft
FJ60 Power Steering w/ custom 4X4 Labs links
FJ60 A/C and heater box installed under dash
Interior; Full custom to include Procar Ft seats, recover back bench to match, headliner, carpet, door panels, Tuffy, Repaint all exposed metal to match, ALL new rubber (doors, glass), Dynamat everything
I didnt bring my camera home so some old photos will have to do till tomorrow.

The 3FE/H55F is a very nice drivetrain. If I were not a diesel guy, that would be my drivetrain of choice in a 55. The 3FE really comes alive when it has a manual tranny behind it. Damned A440 gives the 3FE a bad reputation.

I'm pretty sure is an Aussie spec motor. Basically a 3fe without the fuel injection and just has an asin carb.

OK here are the most recent batch of Photos.
#1: 3F non US (no air rail holes) w/ Aisin carb, rebuilt w/ .020 over Toyota pistons and rings, Custom slip steering shaft, mini truck brake boster, new master
#2: Front axle w/ FJ62 disks, FJ60 Power Steering, 4x4 Labs 1 ton links and ends, OME springs, all new brake lines (hard and soft)
#3: FJ40 FF w/ FJ62 e-brake cable, swaybar w/ new bushings, Alcan Springs to match ft OMEs
