I've slowly been getting the 45 to daily driver status. Overall the truck is pretty solid. I replaced a couple of brake lines, new water pump, and a little carb work. The truck runs smooth, steers straight, and stops pretty well. I got a set of stock wheels to replace the split rims, blasted and powdercoated them this week. Found a nice set of tall skinny tires, cooper courser traction-7.00x15. I really like the look.

George, the truck is looking great and you have officially become a 45 hoarder!!!

Nice 45...I'm after a set of those Cooper Courser Traction tires. Were those sourced locally? If so, where can I get a set? Looks great!

nice truck, nice color, can't beat a tall skinny on an FJ 40/45/47

The infamous 45 lives to tell another story!!! A few weeks ago I got a dm from George! Turns out he drove the 45 for a few months, put it in storage, and moved to the east coast!! So it has been sitting for 13 years!!! He asked if I wanted to buy it😜. After about 10 seconds of thought, we struck a deal!! It did spend about 3 years outside and was even buried in snow last winter. This is how I found it behind an automotive shop! Been working away getting it back into daily service! Some gas and a battery and it started up and idled!!! Change of fluids, new master cylinder, new fuel lines, some cleaning( lots of cleaning!) It now runs and drives fantastic!! Engine is strong and purrs!!! Fresh set of acorns, some coral seat covers soon to come. Super happy with the condition, floors are cherry! Very solid lpb! Been wanting a stock unmolested 45 ever since selling my last one🙄. This has to be my keeper as we all know, they are getting hard to find in the wild!

Looking good! Nice save!! Can’t tell if that’s rust or just bubbling poor paint on the windshield vent but I have a rust free one of those if you are looking for one.
