Good to have a 4x4 in Spain, I think the shop mentions he adjusted them to pass the road licence check (that is just turning the 54 mm Nut a bit)
Euro4x4 is ok, last week they send me a wrong part and I got to keep it
For hard to find parts I go to the dealer, just find the part number first on other sites, I have these collected here:

If you bought the car as is better not come back to that shop, it is something he should fix if you have like 3 month warranty.
Washing is not a fix but with a lot of brake cleaner or diesel and a brush I got mine cleaned so at least you can see what is going on.
For now make sure the fluid levels are fine, drive a bit and check 4x4 low on gravel in a turn should be quit, no clacking sound.
So most important: if it stops leaking the diff oil is low (metal damage) and first read the forums before you do it yourself, after a while the pictures and txt becomes familiar.
A few shops from Germany are also pretty good with parts, I have adres here: http://hj60.freeforums.org/shop-websites-parts-lc-for-sale-t33.html
good luck, Spanish will help if you stay longer, first the grocerys and food, then technical
