BB500 2018 DAY 2 Continued:
Sometimes you just get lucky! As my crew was traversing the desert, these images magically appeared "on film" with ZERO edits! Right place, right time, right light, right speed of the shutter. How it turned out so blue is something I've sorta' noticed the camera does in curtain conditions, nothing I've been able to duplicate in a controlled way, but partly, that is the fun of photography.
It was especially this type of fun, shooting film back in the day as you never knew what you really had until your film came back from processing. Shooting digitally I will check my viewfinder afterwards as little as I can. I try to shoot a minimum number of frames because big weekends like this still results a lot of images to sort and pick though. So when I come across these images, I am proud of them and they reflect everything that my brain remembers in person, minus the audio, smell and touch of the snow on my face. And that cold chill in the air!
Funny how our rigs bring about such an odd-ball group of friends that all click and work together as a team. This is one of those moments where I am proud to be apart of this team and super stoked to capture such moments. We all will have our memory of this day, all with our own perspective.
