Edit. I’m exhausted and forgot the plastic pivot bushings. It’s fine now. New rating 8/10.

Brutal is a good description of that drive. I’ve done it a dozen times. Twice in my 60 fully loaded with my belongings. Not fun but the cruiser doesn’t care. And then the reason for all the work at the last minute. Hopped in the truck at 3am and drove it 1100 miles straight, with no AC, from Orlando to Dallas, my first half of the drive to Ouray for SAS.
Absolutely brutal but I got it done.
My turbo is leaking some oil Out of the cartridge which is super annoying but not really anything i can do about it. Same deal with the Nv4500 leaking out of the shifter for some reason. Going to be really careful not to run anything dry this time.

I lived in Colorado for ten years. Five of those years I had no AC in the cruiser. It’s not that bad. Not as bad as the south. With no damn ac ain't no way. @Str8Razor did this trip to go snowboarding leaving from VA in his 100 series had the opposite problem my feet froze from the passenger side footwell blasting outside freezing cold air into and onto my feet. I'm sure you 62 is about to see more carnage and we are all here for the pictures.
No pics?Today I managed to convince @cjmoon , @tornadoalleycruiser , @kc_chevota , and @mazder to drive up to Montrose and explore the buggy trails up there.
We started with the easiest trail there and took us about 5 hours to go about a mile we turned around and went back after I had to winch up a pretty serious V-notch/stairstep thing.
We had a blast and will definitely be going back in trucks with less sheetmetal to explore more
I was supposed to be in Reno today.Friday I ran Poughkeepsie gulch solo with some friends riding along with me since their trucks were already packed up, I took every hard line for fun and ran the whole trail in like an hour and a half and spent two hours watching people struggle at the Wall.
I almost flopped the truck a few times taking some silly lines for fun but managed to drive out of them. I am getting more and more comfortable behind the wheel every time I drive, especially now the truck has been set up the same way for 5 years at this point without major changes.
Still waiting on pics and vids to get sent but will post them up.
Yesterday I drove from Ouray to Reno (900 miles), later today I will be heading to Tahoe City and the Rubicon trail again
