I have a the classic weepy oil pan and about to re and re.

I also have pry bars and steel putty knives etc.

Short of driving the putty knife around the perimeter is there and easier way to cut the FIPG?

Thanks, will do! that should be in the did you know

I also used a blade and cut the gasket around the pan to help it go. Ended up using a dead blow at medium intensity to loosen it up.

from my experience the pans come off real easy if it's the factory glue job. I take a wooden dowel if need be and tap on top of the upper pan at the front near the oil pump and at the rear web on the passenger side at the tranny.

the last two cam off with just a pull of my hands.

MAKE SURE ALL BOLTS ARE OFF!! I've done it a couple times and always seam to forget 1 bolt. That being said I pry with a longer pry bar up against the frame and pops right off.

Good tips and I like the wood dowel idea!. I have a 3/4 inch copper drift but it can be a little heavy for some applications.

Seems like bolts are a problem too - wouldn't be the first time I had problem forgetting one

I bought a seal scraper on amazon

Thanks Rick!
