The GCLC will be holding our annual meeting on January 28, 2012 at 1PM at the Little Beach Clubhouse in Ringwood NJ. This is the same location we had our meeting last year. Big thanks to OB and Sherri for arranging this again.

Little Beach Clubhouse
451 Lakeview Ave
Ringwood, NJ 07456

GPS coordinates: 41.095846, -74.25799

Format will be the same, details to follow, but there will be free food and beverages, and raffle prizes. T-shirts, stickers, and calendars will be available to purchase.

Please respond in this thread or on the YAHOO GROUPS MAIL LIST if you plan to attend. If we get an overwhelming response we may have to limit attendance.

For the benefit of those who didn't attend last year, the Little Beach Clubhouse is a privately owned meeting place with a fireplace, full kitchen facility, parking, etc. It is part of Officer Bob and Sherry's lakeside community. Very scenic, very warm and cozy.

We ask folks to bring whatever "specialty" item that they wish to cook. We try to stay clear of store-bought items with the exception of those little treats that George and his wife brought. Don't even THINK of showing up without those.

In any case we plan to have a variety of proteins and a plethora of sides, all of which will be OUTSTANDING, and there is usually enough to feed a small village. If you are vegan or vegetarian you will most likely be made fun of, but you will be welcome to bring something as well.

We will try to work in some club business as well, like officer elections, CMCC2012 planning, etc. before the food coma sets in.

THERE IS NO COST ASSOCIATED WITH THIS MEETING. It is provided as a benefit to the membership and is funded by your participation in the club. The GCLC will cover ALL FOOD COSTS and the cost of the venue. Show the treasurer a receipt and you'll get a check.

You will be able to join or renew your membership at the meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Please RSVP and let us know what you can bring.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

After reviewing the rental agreement for the clubhouse we've decided that
any type of alcohol will not be permitted. The reasoning for this is that
in order to rent the clubhouse Sheri and I had to provide a copy off our
homeowners policy.

In the event someone gets into an accident after leaving and had been
drinking we can be held liable civilly. This even counts if you were in no
way responsible for the accident.

We trust everyone and don't think it would be a problem, but to avoid any
problems at all we are banning alcohol.
So, if anyone planned on bringing any, please leave it at home. If you
planned on bringing any for the group, please plan an alternative item.
Thanks,

OB & Sheri

I just chopped down 5 apple trees

Would rather not show up empty handed to my first GCLC meeting. :)

What's needed? Desserts? Paper products?

A dessert or a side dish would be great. We might be short on drinks (assorted soda). Looking into that now.
