Have you considered this design utilizing the pinch weld and riveting to body?

Rivnuts instead of rivets and this would be perfect IMO. I had a set of these Hanson's on my Jeep and they were awesome. Hanson's tied in to the body mounts underneath, just had to trim the 3/8"? off the
mount and sandwich the slider in between the body mount and frame. Hanson also included a rivnut ish kind of beefy dry wall threadsert that was super tight.
