Meh. Thanks for the post though, was wondering what it would look like!

Just posted over in chit chat but glad to see this thread was started.

It is admittedly much better than I was expecting, but still not what I wanted. But I understand their target market and their positioning, and I think they will sell a ton of them.

The big unanswered question now is - what will become of the 4Runner?

You heard it here first. The 4runner will have at least one more gen. And it will outsell the land cruiser. That's my hot take.

112 inch wheelbase, same as an 80 series I believe...

Pic with a person for size perspective

I like it and don't like it. I was hoping for a more pedestrian 300 series.

While this is base off the same platform as the GX, and the way everything is laid out and options available. I feel this will take over for what the 4Runner is and we may be seeing the end of the 4Runner name plate... Which I am okay with if this is the replacement. I like the looks of this Land Cruiser over the Lexus GX.

It will be interesting to see how the Turbo 4 and Hybrid system hold up in the real world, and in a crawling application but the hybrid system should be nice for that instant torque application of the electric drive...

As club president... (Funny I know) I Decree... (Its still a joke) If the 4Runner name plate does get dropped, we have a farewell to 4Runner Run. I will rent a 5th Gen and do an actual Green Trail Ride 😂🤣😂

It’s a Prado Land Cruiser basically.
Is it based on 4 runner platform like the old GX?

Either way it's a great looking truck, same size as the 80 and has lots of potential.
