To keep the monthly theme going for may how about a big bear run with camping.

Day Run: John Bull, Gold Mt, Jacob Cyn,
Night run: Heartbreak Ridge (2n61Y) …up to Onyx Summit
Next Day: Early morning fishing, holcomb creek (3n93)

I am VERY interested!!!!

I cant go Memorial Day Weekend or the first weekend of June, but the weekend of the 20th sounds good!

Rock On!

I'm in Kernville white water rafting with the scouts the 18th-20th.

Hmmm, I could possibly be in for this.... I am going to Guadalupe Canyon the first weekend of May and I have to have a garage sale in May so good to know this date now. And since none of you want to join Reid and I on our outings maybe I will join you guys.... :flipoff2:

I will probably be in for at least the day run and dinner/lunch.

kinda early for me to know for sure with work. Sounds like fun though.

can't do it on the 19th weekend, that's CSUCI grad and I have to shoot photo's for it.

I grew up in the High Desert (Ridgecrest) so I know HOT... But it's only a few weeks from now and hopefully a cold front will be going through like we had the last couple of days. Besides I'm going to be chillin' in the spring pools.

Are we talking about the Guadalup Canyon in Baja??

Last time i was there, the pools were over 100deg! :D

So much for chilling! :D

Damn it, that sounds like fun, but I'll be in San Diego for a Lions Club convention that weekend. Damned charitable causes, if I had a dollar for every time some one asked me to donate a buck I'd be.......well, I guess I'd be about even.

Oh well, try to have fun without me.;)

Yeah, I learned about it in this forum. And when I mentioned May 5th weekend on the thread nobody said I was crazy. ;) Well I won't be the only egg boiling, I wasn't able to get my first two pics on camp sites. Ehh, I am mailing off the payment today so I'm sure we will still have a good time, weather can't always be perfect.

Since alot of us have something that weekend how about the weekend of June 1st....

Sounds good to me, who else prefers that as opposed to 5/19-20?

I will be at the Baja500

Mid July? I know its a ways off, but could make for a very cool LARGE So Cal 80's Annual Thing or something like that.

You'll be fine! You don't have to keep the pools at 100; you can adjust the temp to whatever you want.

Plus there is always the hike up the canyon to the waterfalls and the cold pool.

Just watch out for mosquitos!

PM me if you have any Guadalupe Canyon questions, I've been going for 20+ years.

I would love to, but I'm taking too much time off for CruiseMoab. This is just too soon after.

Thanks Boydmick, I just hope the weather stays cool for a couple more weeks.
I do have one question, I got stuck with camp site La Jolla A since San Marcos and my second choice Castillo I think? were taken. It's only me and my girl so it should be fine. But is the parking really shared with La Jolla B or can you put one vehicle up by the Palapa? I want to try sleeping in the cruiser instead of a tent, but I am taking the tent just in case.

Hey so what's up with this Big Bear trip???? I am interested.
