We'll busy couple of days mucking with the cruiser took the top of the drawers to get into the cargo panel to run a earth for my amp glued the trim around the base of the rear seat. Matt tapped out my snapped bolt and replaced the o ring on the gearbox. Then I took the front driveshaft out and to the machine shop to be shortened 25mm as there was no room to slip for the joint.

Got the front drive shaft back in and cleaned a bit of overspray off around the door rubbers. Put a bit of paint around the engine mounts and the bolts on the bumpers didn't that make a difference

Also put my awning on and found some cool locks for my drawers but I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to get them when the funds build back up. Oh and let the missus have a drive she was a little nervous but didn't want to give the keys back in the end!!

Donnie,

Really got it looking good! Now you have to build your Wife one. :)

Can you post a link to those drawer locks, someday I'll be making mine.

Thanks,

Ron

The locks are from a kitchen supply place the guy said a lot of vanners use them they flush mount and are push button I'll post some pics when I get them. I don't think I will be allowed to build another as this one ruined my wife's life and financial future or so she said at one difficult point when everything that could was going wrong

Just tell your wife that is one of the fringe benefits of being married to you!

Hey Donnie - do you still have that red 55 in the paddock with potenial for parts? I'm starting to scrounge around and look for things to get me inspired to keep working on mine. Let me know if it is still there.

I do my mates pretty keen to get it moved I was going to get the last bits and pieces off it soon then the rest was going to be scrapped what are you after?

Photobomb went and stripped the last bits of red last week and went up today and took the bits I didn't want in boxes in the shed up to my mates scrap yard. Kept lots of little clips etc I just couldn't bear to let go. the chassis and pile of rust that's left is going up the yard maybe next week it's really nice to almost have it out of his front paddock I think it's been bothering me more than him though

Nice rust on the red piggie. It reminds mine. ..

Are you on stock springs and shackles, or did you re-use the 2" springs and 2" shackles? What size tires?

Stock springs 2 inches extended shackles and shocks. 33s on 15x8 rims had the same set up on red but with 31s. Looks much better with the 33s imo.

Been driving the cruiser a bit got most of my problems sorted. Getting seal kits for front brakes this week as passenger side is leaking a little and one of my exhaust mounts is broken going to get that welded up. Had a bit of rain this week and when I used the wipers the heater hose in cab on passenger side was moving so I think the wiper arm is rubbing on it will check into that as well.
