I posted a thread about hearing a spraying sound like aerosol can. It smelled like gear oil or fuel. I checked the fuel filter and hoses and there's no leak. I heard it spray again while starting the cruiser. The fuel gauge now doesn't work and is stuck at half full.
What's wrong?
Thanks

Sounds like your charcoal canister and/or related vent lines need to be checked/replaced. We replaced ours on our 92. Here's the thread:

As far as the fuel gauge being stuck, I would remove the fuel pump/gauge and check the position and the function of the float and related wiring connections. Very simple to do: remove your middle row seats, pull back the carpet and remove the access cover to remove.

If you are going to check the float in the tank you might as well replace the fuel sock while you are in there.

Charcoal canister hose and clamp are good.
Are there any hoses thats on the passenger side you guys know that woukd have smell of fuel or gear? I can hear it spray and release a odor.
