Heard back from Wink4x4. Wasn’t checking emails while I was at Warped lol.

Estimated cost for the kit sits at 5k euros = $5,793.68
This includes the tcase adapter + output shaft and detailed manual.
Wiring harness + TCU + display
Oil connections

Not sure on what impact tariffs would play at this time, but good data point.

You would still need an engine adapter to 8hp bell housing so figure another $850-1000 sans transmission.

Assuming you could get a decent used 8hp for around $500-850 that would put total cost around ~$7500

If that's the kit he's offering you can buy all of that plus the 2uz adapter from driftHQ for $4600. Would save $1500 in tariffs alone.

I’m thinking the only thing I would need from them really would be the input axle/gear for the tcase and maybe some tuning help.

I have no idea how much work it would be to get the different input axle/gear.

I'm pretty sure the domiwork adapter included the input shaft unless I'm reading it wrong

Oh the included shaft is for 80 series.

The domiworks adapter SAYS HF2A/HF2AV so I wonder if it would be possible to get the input shaft from them

Sent them the question so now I get to wait to hear back

Ok so the difference between the 80 series HF2A amd the 100 series HF2A is the 100 series input shaft and gear are one piece where the 80 series is 2, a shaft and a gear. The 80 series stuff will fit in the 100 series HF2A and is actually part of the process when re-gearing the 100 series HF2A.

So now I guess you would just need a input gear from a 80 series HF2A and slide it on to the shaft provided by DomiWorks.

Domiworks says yes they do have a product coming, “Hopefully beginning of 2026 for LC100”

I'll be interested to see how this develops and works out. I'd love an 8-speed in my GX470 as well. 5 works but 8 would be much better for towing.

$500-850 for an 8HP70??? Where? They’re double that or more where I’m at. I can’t find any under $1,000 on marketplace.

eBay all day long.
Ok I see. I was thinking of the RWD 8HP70 out of the Dodge Challenger and Charger. My brother has that in his 2JZ car and that’s way harder to find and more expensive than these AWD model trannies.

I might be missing something here, but RWD should be OK in my view since we use a transfer case.

You always take a chance with the used ones.
