Here is an image of the SEM rust shield painted on a raw 6x6 hot rolled post with no prep work besides wiping it down with Wax and Grease remover. Attached are a couple undercarriage pictures as well. The color and finish are flat black with gloss hardener, leaves a real nice satin finish.

Looks really nice!

Where did you get that steering damper mount on the relay rod?

I made it out of some 3/16th's plate and a couple U-bolts. Since I couldn't find a tie-rod end that would work I decided to go this route. It really worked well and I wouldn't hesitate to do that again.

Thanks for the reply's on the undercarriage work. Everything was rebuilt on that Cruiser from top to bottom. I traded/sold it this winter and I really do miss it, but I had to sell to keep my Cruiser addiction going.

Yea, but I ended up with another FJ40 with a 13BT, and 2 RHD HJ47's which should be here shortly. I guess I am just a glutton for punishment. I really can't wait until I get my 55 looking that good either, still one of my favorite LandCruisers.
