I wonder if you're the first to purchase the purple shell...? Maybe I missed it but I haven't seen any customer pics of that color. Looking forward to seeing it!

Attached a good purple pic here. I finally took a good "product" shot with the good camera. This is a little more representative of the real color.

Stone Grey is also attached here. That's my wife's new favorite color. The cleared version has a deep color to it - it looks like a wet rock. The non-clear version is more of a chalky rock look. Both are very cool and have a lot of variation in the true color, so don't plan on them matching exactly. They're like actual stone, in that regard - you have to be ok with some gradation in the color.

Received and installed the updated rear piece for the clear alarm innards. Fits like a champ. Thank you!

^^^a true gent. American made, american proud. I'm perfectly fine with what ive received. The fob is all business. I've no intention to generate an extra expense on your side due to timing. Yet the gesture further confirms your company's commitments. Thank you.

All these new colors + OEM colors! Awesome! If we collect them all do we get a ride in the Supra? :)

Hell, you buy one of each color I'll let you do a highway pull on hi boost! ;)

Received my grey shell today - thanks for the fast turnaround (3 days)! Very impressed - great product.

I have an 07 LX with clear fob, fits perfect.

I'll buy another if you move the keyring slot to the other side ;)
Or if you put a TEQ logo on the back..
Or if you integrate an LED light on it..

Also, just fyi for those posting pictures of their Lexus keys... there are key vendors that can give you your key code and cut a new key from a picture. I did this through an EBay vendor awhile back when I tried one of those switchblade keys.

First of all - Go buffs!

Lol @ the keyring move. There seem to be a few people that want that! After using it a few days, report back and let us know if you still feel the same.

TEQ on back: That's a real possibility.

LED integrated: First, I'm going to integrate a holder for a Tritium vile. I've got one on the way for testing!

Key pictures - My $.02: While you could cut the key, based on the pic, you'd only be getting cabin access. To start the car you'd have to overcome the immobilizer which - to my knowledge - can't be programmed with anything short of the actual car's security ECU and Techstream or similar. If you can easily overcome the immobilizer, I'm guessing you're not going to let a pesky locked door slow you down in the first place.

These look great! Thinking about a pair for my 100. As for my 80, do you have any plans to make ones for aftermarket alarm key fobs?

I make a couple 80 series shells. Both are OEM shells, though. See the pics on this page. If you have a different style, let me know which one.

Some of these remotes have internal parts that make the shell replication pretty easy - some are pretty difficult. The circular button remote, for instance took more than 6 attempts to get everything just right. I'm still running negative profit for that design just counting parts costs - never mind design time. Anyways, point being, if it's a simple design and there's some decent demand I'll get a design worked up. If it's complex and only a dozen people have interest it can be tough to justify the investment to get one designed.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a stock 80 keyless entry fob. I have a viper 5701 as many others 80's do due to a how to thread;
HOW TO: Detailed DIY for Remote Start/Alarm/Keyless Entry

Unfortunately, the buttons on this fob (see pic above) are not recessed and are constantly being bumped while in pocket unlocking, locking or remote starting at very inappropriate times. The rear battery door is also a problem area as it is regularly coming loose.

I have a fob that I can send you, if interested, of course.

How funny, this is the exact system I had on my 90 Supra that I sold a year ago. I know exactly what you're talking about. The buttons would press randomly and I finally had to stop keeping my keys on me at work so I wouldn't get random BEEPS during an important meeting or something. One time, I even managed to start the remote start sequence in my pocket. My battery door also kept coming undone. Loved that system, but was not a fan of the remote design. My button labels also wore out.

Unfortunately, that remote didn't seem like a real friendly design to re-make. As I recall, the actual shell wasn't easy to pull apart. You could open the battery door, but not necessarily open up the remote.

If you can open up the entire shell, I'd consider it, but I have a feeling that remote is not intended to ever be pulled apart.

Very pleased with my order, the blue case is the bomb. New driver teenager gives two thumbs up.

Unexpected and not scientifically measured, but the pitiful range of the remote seems improved! Anyone else see that?

Searched through the thread, sorry if this has been mentioned, but has anyone used a non-OEM key? Seems like most internal remotes are the same shape, but I'm worried the top of the blade won't be.

My joys of buying a cruiser with only one regular (non-remote) key. Guess I may just have to gamble on one.

Ok, here is my problem, both the dealer and 2005 manual say the same thing, the immobilizer chip is in the head of the key. I'm thinking this solution may not work for me........any 2005 folks out there that want to chime in?
