Just curious, what I don't see in this photo is the felt pad below the carpet. Did you remove it for some reason?

Well I was bummed out as I was headed to GSMTR this year and ended up going to funeral instead (wife's aunt)

.......

I failed to take a lot of pictures but here are two pictures of Matt's BJ73 at GSMTR and my BJ70 is in one shot.

nice shots ! Is he in the ATL area ?

The shop that does most of my painting is a big fan of POR 15. It's a product that might be worth investigating.

wow, I watched the videos , man I missed a great looking ride...

As for the POR-15 yes , I have used it on my last BJ40 , I used the grey and was very happy with it. Of course the key is prep , prep and more prep.

Brothers united.... Finally had a little meeting here in the ATL.

There are some interesting items that are different between the Rojo (1986) and the 1989 LX

Now its time for a road trip down south for a 70s greet.....

Now I know what it's like to not be invited to the neighborhood party.

Perhaps ........
It would have made a very patriotic photograph to add a white and blue 70 Series to that sea of red. :)

The engines are a bit different , and from what I can tell the 1989 LX has the 3Bii with the blue block paint and a different cover on the top along with a very different fuel filter attached to the firewall instead of the engine. I had thought mine was a 3Bii and now thinking more likely a 3B

Here are the engine shots, what says the crew...

And the dash is different , the LX has the full instrumentation with tach and Rojo only has very basic gauges. Speed, fuel and temp.

I've actually never seen a 3Bll however Nigel (NGray) has one and may be able to shed some light on the subject.
Surprised you don't have a tach. I would have thought that was standard equipment.

So after looking....apparently I've been misinformed from the start about the engine I have. According to the plate on the firewall and photos online I have a 3b with a rotary pump.

Maybe someone with more experience on these engines can set us both straight.
