Yea , what ever I have been doing doesn't seem to be working and I am thinking my my alternator needs to be serviced. I have not been swapping the batteries but will from now on. I have some cheap walmart batteries which I have read are hit or miss.

also when I drive at this point it is only for 8 miles into work...

My HJ75 had a similar issue and it was a caused by a faulty diode do-hickey in the alternator.

Just want to say thanks to MUD and the information provided here , truly an inspiration. Anyway during a rain break from yard work I went to town figuring some battery stuff out. I think I now understand the 24v system much better and figured a few items out. My red thing in early posts is a quick disconnect but was not working due to the ground from the 24v winch. It was attached directly to the low side battery negative terminal basically creating a by pass. Now I have moved the winch ground to a body ground and the quick disconnect works like it should and of course the winch still works :)

Well another rainy day and I decided to dig into my radio set up and wire in a volt gauge. I have had every once in a while the radio would blow a fuse on the back of the ratio. This is any easy fix but became an wonder as to how this was wired up as it and the sig plug are hot all the time. I also set off looking for a place for the digital volt meter.

First Anyone know what these are behind this blank panel ?

So as I dug in and traced wires , I found that my 24v to 12v thingy was not wired into my radio at all ?? A nice nest of wires....

I cant say I have it all figured out but I know for sure now that my radio and sig plug are now powered from the 24v to 12v converter and its now attached to the acc switch. The key must be in and set to acc for things to work and when you turn the truck off all system turn off like normal. I also wired in from the old hot 24v wire that went to the sig plug a digital volt meter as my dash has no volt meter at all. I think things turned out well and all systems work now. Only time will tell....

However I did notice after this change that my sig plug now reads 14.1 ? Is this normal ? All the testing and wiring and testing and snipping and re-testing took me close to 7 hours and then some.

To be honest , I have the ARB rack hanging in the garage and have never used it.... From my research everyone seems to agree that the top can hold lots of weight but would not be good for heavy loads moving / over time and could create stress cracks in the top. The ARB rack attaches to the two front gutters and the back and also has several placed rubber feet to help distribute the load on top. Its really nice and if I part with it NGray has first dibs...

Thanks, hoping I found some one that had theirs mounted more often. Seems that it would be fine if you just mounted it for a trip, and only slept in it wile parked...:hillbilly: Most tents are around the 125lbs mark witch isn't that much really.

someone talk me out of selling.... I just put in an offer on some land and a cabin and I am thinking of shedding a few items... Rojo is on the list....

Rojo is definetly a sweet and unique ride. That's a hard decision for sure.

That being said, owning a getaway cabin in the N. Georgia mountains or beyond is on my bucket list.

Truck looks great....at first thought it was AL (yeti in nc) and then saw the 100 series...and knew it was you. I hope to get a 70 series in year or two but will likely sell my LX470 when I do it. Enjoying your build.... :) but sorry you had to sell her. Anyone local???

Hi everyone, it's my first post here. I was wondering how to completely fold the rear seat. I know I have to pull a cable to release the lower part of the seat base from the floor mounting. But not how to fold the backrest.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!
